Great story, indeed. I like Larry Elder. He knows how to cut through the BS.

I have no use for Hussein. I believe he was a half-mad tyrant. Having said that, I suspect the WMD talk was hype to create a super boogie man to justify a war. I suspect we won't find much. As far as the Iraqi scientists comments, they'd better say what their saying. This wouldn't be the time to be offending the wrong people.
According to the hype, WMD were everywhere like dandelions. We have managed to find hidden loot stolen from the museums, but little in the way of WMD.

We can't find Saddam Hussein either, but that doesn't mean he doesn't (or didn't) exist.

The U.S. and allies removed the worst weapon of mass destruction -- Saddam Hussein and his murderous thugs. Anything in addition to that is a bonus.

Bush may have already found the WMD. But is waiting for the democrats to spend
millions of dollars on campaign adds before breaking the news. BINGO. Dumbo
has outwitted the democrats once again. They will never learn.

I don't need to see no steeking WMD's. Saddam was bad, the Iraqi people were brutalized and we freed them. No WMD's? So what!

After reading the headline, I thought, "Well, the WMD may be well hidden, but Larry Elder should be easy to find."

Everyone has been looking for the hardware and the physics. Even harder to find and more important will be the Technology. I have no doubt, should this group or similar minded leaders come to power, having the technology in "stand-by", they could have WMD ready in short order.
Another thought would be if the technology is well developed, these scientists can find a ready market for it. That's one reason they may not be that cooperative in finding evidence.

The administration urges patience, noting that thousands of sites remain to be inspected. Before the war, opponents urged patience. After all, they claimed, the "inspections were working." With major fighting concluded, however, the very same people demand an immediate "smoking gun" to prove the existence of weapons of mass destruction.
Does anyone else see this? Pre-war:
Bush admin: "Let's go already!" Opponents: "Be patient"
post-war:
Opponents: "Let's go already!" Bush admin: "Be patient"
Plus la change, plus la meme chose.

If he didn't have WMD, then we took an effective act of preemption. If he did have WMD but didn't use them, then we took an effective act of prevention. That's worth hyping in my book.
