I have no use for Hussein. I believe he was a half-mad tyrant. Having said that, I suspect the WMD talk was hype to create a super boogie man to justify a war. I suspect we won't find much. As far as the Iraqi scientists comments, they'd better say what their saying. This wouldn't be the time to be offending the wrong people.
According to the hype, WMD were everywhere like dandelions. We have managed to find hidden loot stolen from the museums, but little in the way of WMD.

Having said that, I suspect the WMD talk was hype to create a super boogie man to justify a war. I like the scenario on another thread where the author said that Iraq's WMD were destroyed without Saddam's knowledge, and the money for ongoing WMD development stolen by Saddam's sons and generals.
Boy the "boogie man" sure fooled the rest of the world --- if RLK is to be proven correct.

I suspect the WMD talk was hype...Besides the bio-labs on wheels, the Tigres has been polluted with mustard gas (compounds), cyanide, and binary munitions (sure, precursors nearby, but no VX, etc.) have been found. Also, lots of radioactive by-products and precision machining equipment (yes, no bomb). This will take time...to prove it to the den of thieves in NY.

If all the talk of WMD was just hype how do you explain the neocons' 1998 letter to Clinton - urging him to do what Bush recently did?
