President Bush met today with Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik in the Oval Office, and met with 8 members of the U.S. military who had been wounded in combat as he read his radio address. He presented the Commander in Chief Trophy to the Air Force Academy football team, and this afternoon made remarks to the press on the White House lawn as he left for Camp David. Oh yes indeedy - there was a full complement of airborne protectors. Two F-16's on each side of the President's jet. They didn't show them as the cameras were glued to the jet the President was in - but you could hear them, and John Scott, for Fox News, told us before the landing, that while there would be two S-3B's - the first one with Condi, Karl Rove or Andy Card, can't remember which, the second would have the President, AND that there would be a full complement of escorts. There were also choppers, which is normal, in case a jet goes off the end of the carrier into the drink. There was a lot of airborne power around our President, for sure.

And now, hoping that I can get to Andrews AFB tomorrow, to see Seals jumping out of choppers, a B-2 flyby, F-16's, F-18's all over the place, and the Thunderbirds, I'm heading off to bed, and praying that the rain doesn't start until after 4 PM tomorrow, when the airshow is over!!!
