President Bush met today with Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik in the Oval Office, and met with 8 members of the U.S. military who had been wounded in combat as he read his radio address. He presented the Commander in Chief Trophy to the Air Force Academy football team, and this afternoon made remarks to the press on the White House lawn as he left for Camp David. Oh, no....he's not home. He's still incommunicado somewhere in Baghdad......in a secure location.

I guess they want the supply guys to stay safe so they can get the things to the other troops OK.

Mr Ohio and I have been talking about this alot lately, but this whole thing is MUCH harder than we even dreamed it would be......and that was pretty bad......

I will correct myself...it was The Thunderbirds she flew with. They talked about the flight and also mentioned Tony Snow did ok as well.

Greta made an interesting comment...said the pilot's confidence was contagious and she wasn't scared at all, even though she is a white knuckle flyer on the DC/New York shuttle.

My brother Wes's unit is already over there, and it's just a matter of time before he gets sent over there to rejoin them (he just finished training involving coordinating cargo drops from C130s) To add a twist to that, his wife is expecting with their second son, due around my birthday and Thanksgiving...

I'm still saying prayers for my two "Eric's"....yours, and the Prayer Commitment I made for another Eric. It must be difficult not hearing from him, and not knowing exactly where he is, that's for sure. But, thanks to you, he's one of the GOOD GUYS!!!! (EXCELLENT GUYS, really!)

The hardest thing is not hearing from Eric, goodnesswins......our kids have been gone before, sometimes overseas for months, but we have never gone more than a week without talking to them.

We don't know what he's doing, or how he is, or when he'll be home, or anything.

It's awful.
