It seems the reporter misunderstood: the "painting" is a visual pollock joke!

Hey, I like it, too! I just wouldn't spend 5-7 mil on it, even if I had that much to spend.

Allow me to don my asbestos long underwear (it's still chilly in Michigan), and say that I like it. I find Pollack's work interesting. I'm not a fan of much modern art, but this I like.
I wanted to help you out so I copied the pic and "blew it up" to a size suitable for framing (think of the millions I'm saving you) but for some reason it looks like someone squirted unmixed paint out of a tube all over the canvas. I must have done something wrong. Sorry I couldn't help. ;-)

Hey... if you practice all summer, you may be able to make one for yourself. It doesn't look THAT hard. And really, if you like a form of art, you should give it a try. It might be fun! (And it might look lovely hanging in your garage, if you don't want to share your masterpiece with the world.)
A few years back there was a story of an elephant who made paintings, that people would buy. They looked similar to Pollack's work, not bad, in fact.

HEY! SO THAT'S WHERE IT WENT! I don't know who this Jackson Pollack is, but my kid did that painting in pre-school last week and it disappeared off the wall of the school! I am irate! Truly irate!
So ... Whom do I sue for my, er, my kid's cut? :-D
