he has missed 84 percent of the votes in the House of Representatives. We need more Democrats to follow his example.

Heck, there are probably a number of Missourians (like me for instance) that would like it if Eyebrows never showed up anywhere again. He's welcome to stay home forever.
Years and years ago, some advisor told Gephardt he'd be more telegenic with eyebrows, so he let somebody draw some on, and got on TV. It was hilarious! St. Louisans talked about it for weeks. Some of us still remember...;-D

If by "Dickie", you mean Gepheardt, then yes. Dick Morris is a brilliant political strategist. Unlike most self-appointed pundits, Morris has won major elections. He knows what works because, as a pollster, he has his ear to the ground as far as what the average voter thinks. Morris is absolutely right about the fact that voter's will be repulsed by Gepheardt's absenteeism. Incidentally, there is a major story in Texas where the dems in the legislature have "boycotted" and fled to Oklahoma. We should Nationalize this story and fast... Basically, the police is out to find them and bring them back to Texas to do their jobs. Voters will respond to this shameless and pathetic act of cowardice. When the band of invertebrates is brought back, they should come back to a "loser's welcome".

With Tricky Dicky Gee, it's always been about how the public perceives him, not about who he actually is. Hence, he had, at least for a while, no legal residence in the state he supposedly represented, a mom who supposedly had to scrimp and save to pay for prescription meds, etc.
Now, of course, the reason he's AWOL is that he's trying to distance himself from the negative perceptions Missourians have of democrats (WTG, Jim Talent!) and position himself as a PERCEIVED moderate.
Not gonna happen, imho.

Anyway, since it's all about how people perceive him (to him) and has always been that way, who cares what he has or doesn't have? If he had a half-way decent character, who would care what he looked like?

I did my part, made sure 2 of the 3 major radio talk jocks in Tennessee were aware of it. Would have made it 3 out of 3 but one of the Nashville radio host's email is down along with their web site...storms must have taken it down.

If poor behavior in congress is par for the course, why do the people of Missouri, or even S. Dakota, keep electing Gephardt and Daschle? Is it because the citizens of these states want "their man" in the White House?

Now that his Mom died, he'll have to move back to Missouri -- no more listing her house as his permanent address. He's pathetic.
