The format of these luncheons lets people like Clark get away with rhetorical murder. The moderator chose to forward softball questions and not pose legitimate follow up questions. His evasive answer about his group's funding was left unchallenged when he should have been pressed on it.

I saw that. He stated that he thought he should have been paid by the CANSWER crowd.

Ramsey "I Crave The Taste Of Blood-Splattered Jack-Boots" Clark was well freeped. Here's the thread.
(Hope your television is still intact. I find yelling with my face inches from the screen to be less destructive than launching projectiles, although it's necessary to have windex handy.)

I liked the bit where he said he wasn't going to "demonize" Saddam, Fidel, Farrakhan, etc.--doesn't believe in demonizing people, he said with a straight face after he demonized President Bush all through his speech. And then he went on to viciously demonize Ariel Sharon.
The pattern is obivious. Ramsey won't "demonize," or in any way criticize, brutal and muderous dictators, but elected leaders of liberal democracies that oppose terrorism and totalitarianism are branded as evil.

I offered Ms. Verheyden-Hilliard a pamphletThe WashPost offered her something much better - a puff piece titled "Stirring a Cause" (click for full article) in Monday's paper. Portions of the article included:
The D.C. police want everyone out of 18th Street NW, and they mean now. They're pushing their batons hard against rib cages and backs. They're grabbing shoulders and shoving.
SNIP
The crowd surges away from the batons. But a thin, intense woman dressed in business black charges against the tide, directly at the blue police line. She whips out a camera and starts snapping, until an officer shoves her between two cars.[emphasis added]
SNIP
Law school won't prepare you for a workout like this, but it's all in a day's work for a movement lawyer like Mara Verheyden-Hilliard. [emphasis added]
SNIP REMAINDER OF ARTICLE
The article is probably worth reading. Not to see how much hero worship the Post can bestow on its far-left friends (ANSWER = a huge amount), but for some interesting tidbits about suits she has filed against DC area police.
Then again, is the Post article accurately describing those cases?

I have seen a lot of creepy women in my life. You know, the eyes, the manner, the arogance, etc., but Mara Verheyden-Hilliard fits into #2 on my all time list. Of course, you know who is #1.

The pattern is obivious. Ramsey won't "demonize," or in any way criticize, brutal and muderous dictators, but elected leaders of liberal democracies that oppose terrorism and totalitarianism are branded as evil. Exactly.

I would have been sure to inform Ramsey's "supporters" that their hero got his forture because his family was a LOBBYIST FOR TEXAS OIL INTERESTS and that he was only APPOINTED A.G. GENERAL BECAUSE HIS FATHER HAD HELD THE POST. Plus he whole-heartily back Johnson's Vietnam policy while he was "serving" under him. Funny how he changed his mind AFTER he was out of power.
The disgusting liberal pukes love to attack Bush over simular things (being a politician's kid who got rich from oil interests), but evidentially it's OKAY when their hero Ramsey does it.

I had a great time doing just that about a month ago.
Our rally was bigger than the Bush-haters across the Plaza and when the bikers supporting us roared by on their Harley's the canyon of buildings surrounding us created an incredible echo. You could almost see the creeps shrink.

Way to go!!
A terrific job and BillF, a great report. Wish I could have been there but during the day is impossible.
To: kristinn
Way to go Kristinn. Too bad you didn't get to stick around and see the expression on Ramsey Clark's face when he got an eyeful of the booklet on his group.
Also, you have a lot of courage, coming in contact with Ramsey Clark, Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, and Brian Becker all at the same time. I hope you took one of those Silkwood type showers afterwards.
To: Angelwood

If though you mixed up your Clarks, you got this part right:
This guy is a short little punk with no gonads
(I'm pretty sure Ramsey Crock was AG under LBJ.)
