I have turned this over in my mind for weeks now, trying to decide whether to post this or not. It is SORT OF a vanity, but not entirely. I am reading a book that I was turned on to, titled The Sword of the Prophet: Islam, history, theology, impact on the world, by Serge Trifkovic. The book has a sub-title called 'The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam'. It is published by Regina Orthodox Press and though this is a Catholic publishing house, the book is not about Catholicism but a history of how Islam began and what some political and church leaders, both Protestant and Catholic and other religions - DO NOT WANT TO HEAR - ISLAM IS NOT A RELIGION OF PEACE!
Far from me to recommend a book that will get your blood pressure up, but Serge takes apart this so-called religion, piece-by-piece. Read this at your own risk but if you have the chance, read it. A sample:
From Chapter 2, 'The Teaching': '......The Resurrection will be general and will extend to all creatures. Hell will be divided into seven regions, for faithless Muslims, for the Jews, Christians, various kinds of pagans, and "hypocrites." '
I decided not to relate any more passages from the book because of copyright and the fact that some of it is too violent or offensive, even for our firm beliefs here on the Free Republic. This is a bombshell book and though none of the information contained in it is new, it puts things in perspective. Muslims do not hate you because you are American - they hate you because you are non-Muslim. They are prepared to do whatever they have to do, to make the world into the one-world religion (theirs). This book is raw and unapologetic and, to be perfectly honest, GUTSY. Don't take my word for it but read it yourself.
Serge Trifkovic is a graduate of the University of Sussex in England. He received his PhD at the University of Southampton and his postdoctoral research on a State Department grant at the Hoover Institute at Stanford. He is also a regular contributor and, since 1998, foreign affairs editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture.
The Islam of the last 30 years teaches hate. This hate theology came from the Moslem Brotherhood of Egypt. As they were arrested and oppressed by Naser, they went to Saudi Arabia, and found a firtle ground in the Wahabis sect. The Saudi inspired hate theology theaches its followers to look back to the barbarian tribal desert life of the stone age.
Without having the guts to see that hate for yourself, and reject it out with all your heart, you may be a closet hater yourself.
Example; a palestinian guy converted to Christianity a few month ago, the Hamas guys killed him, and cut his body to pieces. Ask yourself 1)How many Moslems were outraged about such barbaric conduct? 2) How many time did you see a Christian converts to Islam, and get killed by his fellow Christians? I CAN ONLY RESPECT YOUR DEFENCE IF YOU SHOW ME A BUNCH OF PRIESTS OR FANATIC CHRISTIANS PLOTTING TO KILL CHRISTIANS WHO CONVERTED TO ISLAM. I CAN GIVE YOU THOUSANDS OF ISLAMISTS KILLING CHRISTIANS...AS A MATTER OF FACT, MILLIONS IF YOU WOULD LOOK AT THE SUDAN HOLOCAUST. YOU NEED TO GIVE ME ONE EXAMPLE!
If you can anwer these two questions honestly, you can determin for yourself whether you are a peaceful Moslem, or a reguler
You're a Sunni muslim, right?
Please comment on the passage below (excerpt from Worldnetdaily article), and explain why suicide bombings against civilians are justified by the highest authorities in Sunni Islam:
The great Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Muhammad Sayyed Tantawi, demanded that the Palestinian people, of all factions, intensify the martyrdom operations [i.e. suicide attacks] against the Zionist enemy, and described the martyrdom operations as the highest form of Jihad operations. He says that the young people executing them have sold Allah the most precious thing of all.
[Sheikh Tantawi] emphasized that every martyrdom operation against any Israeli, including children, women, and teenagers, is a legitimate act according to [Islamic] religious law, and an Islamic commandment, until the people of Palestine regain their land and cause the cruel Israeli aggression to retreat.
Would it be more appropriate to get our news from the Iran News Agency or Islamonline? Why would we want to do that. Jerry Falwell and Franklin Graham are dead on the money.
No, I don't believe Islam will conquer the world. But conquering the world is the stated goal of Islam's many radicals, and they will have to die (literally or figuratively) to prevent the damage that will come from them trying to have Islam dominate the world.
Because you seem to think that I am lying, but you are eager to believe what a few Muslim protesters say. What if I said that Jesus was going to conquer the world? Would you have a problem with that? Should I?
I haven't seen any of your posts before this one to me, so I am not saying one way or the other whether you are lying or not. I am unfamiliar with what you have said in any regard. I'll go back thru this thread and catch up on that.
In general, I would be against anyone, or any one ideology "conquering the world" ... If people choose to adopt a certain ideology, that is their choice. But the words of the radicals belie any choice -- "Dominate" and "conquer" do not imply that people have any choice in the matter other than to submit or fight.
With regard to the hypothetical of Jesus (Christainity) conquering the world, and if I would feel any better about that, my answer is that the hypothetical is not a valid comparison. Wherever Christainity goes, people bring food and clothing for the poor, and they preach a message of hope and tolerance and love, and most importantly, they leave the choice to believe or not up to the individual. Wherever Islam goes, people are bombed, enslaved, tortured, constrained, and dominated. Every single place on this planet that has Muslims has the terror that comes with them. That is a fact that the headlines make clear each and every day.
I notice these days that it is non-believers more than Muslims that are hanging on the words of the most radical elements. They discount any moderate and sensible proposal in favor of the minority jihad position.
It is the actions of the radical elements that are changing the world for us "non-believers". 9/11 was the product of radical elements, and it is something that I, as a "non-believer" of Islam have to look at as a product of Islam in general. It is not possible to seperate the radicals from the so-called "moderate" muslims because I know that the talks in the mosques, and the fundraising in the mosques and the general apparent apathy of 'moderates' to the radical elements, are the very things that have allowed the radicals to thrive, and ultimately to attack us. The goals are clearly stated ... "Islam will conquer the World". If the "moderates" have other ideas, then they had better start dealing with the radicals, rather than funding them, paying lip service to them, and encouraging them either through their silence and/or tacit approval of the more radical sermons and elements.
Until such a time comes, I will be prepared to defend myself and my community against any further influence by any Muslims, period.
That's good news. And the reason for this is because you are here in the US (I suppose) and if that sort of thing was started by Muslim elements living here, they would be squashed very quickly and very violently by US citizens.
How much money have the 60,000 Muslims in your community raised to support Wahabbism, or to forward over to accounts drawn on by Al Queda? How many sermons preaching hatred of Jews have the 60,000 heard and listened to, and believed? How many of the 60,000 have been trained in Al Queda camps, or are sleepers waiting for orders? How many of them are applying the principles of Al Taqqiyah, deceiving infidels whilst planning for their ultimate submission to Islam?
Also, ask the Jews in Paris how they are feeling these days about their temples being vandalised, and about being spit on by Muslims in the streets. The only reason that Britain and France have not been further ravaged by their swarms of Muslims is because they still have at least some spine, and the Muslims that live there know that the time is not yet right to rise up.
My opinion is that if there are "moderate" muslims, and their religion has truly been hijacked (no pun intended) by the radical elements, then they had damn well better start getting the message out. The 500,000 protesting against terrorism in Morocco sounds like a good start. Here's hoping that the other 1.2 billion muslims feel the same way.
