Ha! Your codfish story reminds me of one also. In a company of 300+ folks where I used to work, there was a small group of 6 or so of us die-hard lutefisk lovers (all Norske descendents). Once a year, we smelled up the whole place, lol. Most others complained of the smell and wouldn't even try it. But, we had one fellow-employee who turned into a lutefisk/lefse convert, a young native Korean guy, believe it or not... ;-)
