Well, fine then the school will chastise them, mandate a "racial sensitivity" assembly, etc.
And O'Reilly can bitch about it, but to go insane (when he has a dubious record) and to make Perdue this sweeps Trent Lott or Gary Condit is pretty damn grotesque. We just got over Santorum, to unfairly target another Republican in this season of gotcha journalism (aimed exclusively at Republicans) is unconscionable.

Boortz has said:
It is easier to believe in something like the big bang theory than in a creator.
On average Christians have lower intelligence than non-Christians.
You want to listen to him, go right ahead, but he doesn't think much of YOU !!!
To: willstayfree
Boortz did not condemn the actions of the students but instead defended them by changing the subject and claiming that they had the right to freedom of association. He essentially supported their racist behaviour. So, you're saying the students don't have that freedom outside the classroom? That they are forced to have parties with the other race outside the school environment? And you are, by extension saying that the governor has to condemn/approve that?
Ha! I guess I've got to go dig up some white relatives for our family reunion....
Please. Spare me. This is nothing but O'Reilly trying to justify his own relavence. He's lost this. He needs to quit beating the dead horse. The longer he flogs it, the more of an idiot - and by extension the more irrelavent - he becomes.

Do you think some people in O'Reilly's pay operate on this site?
Heck, last night I was accused of being a paid hack for Perdue-- I wish!

"Boortz was aked a couple of questions, first should the Governor execise leadership and criticize those students who particpated in an all white prom"
First, it's not Boortz's responsibility to comment on what or what not the Governor says. Should the Governor comment on the black only party held at Spellman College in Georgia at the end of each semester? Do you want him to say something with the large Vietnamese population has a "Asian Only" private party too? It's an assinine question and Boortz rightfully blew O'Hubcap out of the water.
"don't you (Boortz) agree that it is wrong for students to organize an all white prom at the public school."
Because that's factually a Clintonized statement he didn't have to answer it. It was not a "prom at the public school" and it was not "organized" there. It was organized without the consent or approval of the school administration. So that's another reach that the liberal media loves to harp on.
"Boortz did not condemn the actions of the students but instead defended them by changing the subject and claiming that they had the right to freedom of association."
Boortz has never chagned the subject. He's been 100 percent consistent on this subject. It is a matter of freedom of association, period, end of convesration.
"He essentially supported their racist behaviour."
Let's use your logic:
Because I did not hop on to my boat and help rescue the 4 Cubans up the way from me yesterday, that means I support Castro killing and jailing political opposition.
That's pretty good. I see you have the NEA seal of approval on your postings now. I hope this response is not too narrow to you.

You want to listen to him, go right ahead, but he doesn't think much of YOU !!!He's right. It is easier to believe in something like a big bang theory than a Creator. And he is also right in that statistically on average, Christians do have lower levels of intelligence than non-Christians.
But that makes me no less proud to be a Christian, and no less proud to believe that God created what scientists refer to as "The Big Bang."
If you're insulted by that belief, that's your business. But that doesn't mean a hill of beans in terms of politics and political discourse. I got no problems with him on that.

One doesn't have to agree with everything someone says or believes, or do they?

I always associated stealing hubcaps with mexicans, not blacks! Look again. Mexicans are working all the jobs Blacks don't want (construction, carpentry, roofing, cementing, foundation, etc. etc. and making damn good money. They are not stealing hubcaps anymore. They are buying their own hubcaps. They come on their Cadillac Escalades.

He keeps calling this a prom and a school event and it is neither. Everytime someone points this out to him he goes off. Doesn't he understand the difference between the public and private sector what ever we may think of them. He is beginning to act like Capt. Quigg on the Cain.

"This is not about O'Reilly it is about the racist behaviour of some students on school property which was essentially condoned by Boortz and ignored by the governor!"
Produce one iota of evidence that this event took place on school property or with the direct endorsement of any member of the school system.
Produce one statement by Boortz in the last 3 days where he condoned the attitudes of the students.
I know you can't so don't bother responding.

Hey I didn't say I liked his logic. Schools, to me, should have absolutley no rights over the students once they leave the school property. Unfortunatley, parents have been giving schools to much power. If this school really wanted to, they could go ahead and do serious damage to these kids. Here in NYC, A high school tossed 4 students out of school, for rape, even though, at the time, they had not been arrested or even charged yet, and the crime occured off school property. Alot of schools go so far as to do drug testing students, and can and will penalize them based on assocations outside of the school. Thats why I don't care anymore when some kid gets thrown out because of "0 tolerance" rule, the parents are the ones who empowered the schools to be able to do this. On the other side, one thing people on this board are forgetting, and O'Reilly missed it, is that this so-called "All white" prom, doesn't ban blacks, but they can only come if they are brought as date. If you think that makes this weird, the idea behind the segregated proms in the first place, was because they wanted to avoid inter-racial dating.

Last year there was a story (I'm sure it had to be on FNC because its the only news channel I watch). The story was about black students who decided they wanted to have their OWN prom (no whites). So what? If a bunch of kids get together at lunch in the cafeteria and plan a weekend function, it's NOT legitimatly a "school sponsered" program.
I would feel better about this story if BOTH sides were being presented. Where are the black prom-goers and what is their take on this? (Maybe the black students were happy to not have the prom with those particular white kids!).
Regardless, I think Bill is seeing more into this than anyone. Normally, I watch O'Reilly and he doesn't bother me, but these last few shows, he's been real irritating.
In 2 shows now, it was stated that the school does not promote or fund the proms, that the students pitch in and organize it themselves and go to a larger city for accomodations. I want to hear all sides before I consider this a "series" issue.

It is quite obvious that you've never listed to the Boortz show. He is far from a racist. His co-host and friend is black. He is very clear on his views of racism. You should just stop digging your hole, fool.
To: willstayfree
This is not about O'Reilly it is about the racist behaviour of some students on school property which was essentially condoned by Boortz and ignored by the governor!Bull. This is about O'Reilly's personal vendetta against Perdue for whatever reason he's got. This didn't come up when we had a 'Rat governor - but noooooo...O'Reilly has got to beat this dead horse with Perdue.
And let's say, for supposition, that what the kids did WAS racist. The governor of the state is supposed to drop every damn thing to denounce every single child in the state that does something racist? Hell, if that's the case, he'd get even less of the state's business done.
Notice that local media here in Georgia hasn't made hide nor hair of the issue - only Bill "Flog the dead equine" O'Reilly.
It is truly a non-issue. And one that makes him look like the southbound end of a northbound mule.

On average Christians have lower intelligence than non-Christians.
Like I said, a lot of his mouth is just schtick. I have heard him say very respectful things about Christianity and and the resulting societal ideals. He's just fishing for good entertaining calls, similar to Phil Hendry's style. I've been listening long enough to know the difference.
But I'm pretty sure that he's uncomfortable with the possibility that he's not living up to what God wants with him. And he doesn't want anyone to tell him so.

I gave up on Mr. O when he went off on that preacher, regarding alleged abuse of children in a church. (actually corporal punishment of some very out of control youngins)
What happened to that story?
The guy is off his rocker.
