Supreme Court Revives Clintons' Vince Foster Scandal

Are Bill and Hillary Clinton sweating now that the Supreme Court today revived the controversy over Vince Foster's death?

Urged by the Bush administration, the court said it would decide in autumn whether the government must release post-mortem pictures of the Clinton White House attorney's "suicide."

At stake is "the privacy interest of millions of individuals, about whom personal and sensitive information is stored in government files," Solicitor General Theodore Olson told the court.

Olson insisted that five investigations had showed Foster killed himself and that a sixth inquiry "by an unsatisfied private citizen" seemed unnecessary. But for the whole story, see Christopher Ruddy's "The Strange Death of Vincent Foster."

Accuracy in Media, a public interest group that maintained Foster's suicide note was a forgery, filed a request with Park Police seeking autopsy photographs and photos of Foster's body at Fort Marcy Park in McLean, Va.

The government refused, and a federal appeals court in Washington agreed. The court claimed the pictures were exempted from the mandatory disclosure provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

AIM said it wanted the photos to uncover "government foul play," but unless the group had compelling evidence there was not enough reason to justify an invasion of privacy, the appeals court said.

Attorney Allan J. Favish, who represented AIM, then filed his own FOIA request with the independent counsel's office to obtain the photos. When the office refused, Favish filed suit in federal court in Los Angeles.

Though a federal judge again said that there was no evidence justifying the invasion of privacy, a divided appeals court panel reversed and said evidence was not necessary.

When the case was sent back to trial court, the judge, under the appeals court's guidance, ordered the release of five of the 10 photographs of Foster's body, including one that had been published in Time magazine.

The government, joined by members of Foster's family, appealed. This time, an appeals court panel ordered the release of nine of the 10 photos. When the full U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, with headquarters in San Francisco, refused to hear the case, the government asked the Supreme Court for review.

According to 'un named sources' the second page of Vince's autopsy report had clear reference to the 'two gun shot wounds', one under the ear and one through the mouth orifice out through the back of the head. Now, Vince may have had bad taste in women (Chinese agent type women), but he couldn't have been that bad a shot.

... yesterday's news cycle had Sid Blumenthal floating Hillary 2004 trial balloons and today's news cycle has something on the Foster case. Coincidence? Could be. Or maybe not.

This was posted initially 5 May from a Newsmax article. Been down this road many times ... nothing will come of it, another dead end no matter how compelling the evidence.

You may be right, unfortunately. But there are things that may see the light of day. TWA 800 is one example that comes to mind. Juanita Brodderick is another. OKC is yet another. It is very hard to compeletely obliterate all traces of something that really happened. There is always some document, some smoking gun, or some person that is willing to spill the beans especially if circumstances change. We may yet see something on any or all of these clinton scandals.

"Olson insisted that five investigations had showed Foster killed himself.."

Did he shoot himself in the back of the head, or back into a knife twenty times? Iheard that happened occasionally in Arkansas.

Surely one day the Clintons are going to pay the price for all the wrong they have done while holding the highest office if this nation. Their Luck must run out sooner than later.

"I really thought that scandal would grow legs"

Still could. That whole thing of the tainted blood goes straight to Clinton. There has to be a way to prove it and there is surely someone out there with a will to do it....but then, of course, there is always the Arkancide problem, which I am certain that anyone close enough to the Clintons to have any real information and/or insight is painfully aware.

Budge has a lot of informatin on this.

"I wonder if there is some strategy to slowly bring the Clintons down by the Bush administration? Most would say no, but Bush is a master at strategery"

Clinton is a master at Arkancide.

"Yeah, I guess President Bush should have put all of these other items on ice until he dealt with bringing down the Clintons. Glad to see where your priorities are."

Sarcasm aside, your reply to ChemistCat makes some good points...................BUT..................

Personally, I would put the interests of justice in this country on a very, VERY high priority. The Clinton's are guilty of a host of crimes (heaven knows I don't have to rehash them here........) and have walked away virtually scot free. In fact, they're thriving. It isn't fair, it isn't right, it's a slap in the face to the populace, it's a slap in the face to our system of justice, and it serves to prove nothing more than you CAN be above the law in this country.

Well.........I don't believe that anyone should be above the law, let alone some redneck rapist from Arkansas and his pit bull of a wife. They spat in our faces and then laughed on their way out the door.

I recently purchased the DVD version of "Dances With Wolves" and watched it the other night; hadn't seen it in a long time. Remember the scene, perchance, when Costner's character......fresh from his heroic act during a Civil War battle..........shows up at the fort out on the frontier? The commanding major was a raving lunatic. He sends Costner's character out the door to his final assignment (some God-forsaken pit in the middle of nowhere that had been abandoned, unbeknownst to them) and as Costner is walking out the door, the loony major stands and declares: "I've just pissed my pants.......and there's NOTHING that anyone can do about it!!!" A surreal scene.

.........and Heaven help me, all I could think of at that instant was Bill Clinton, former President of the United States of America.

That's why I think it quite fair to place them high on a priority list, right up there with the war on terrorism.
