New update from Houston MOCR

"looks like the capsule landed 30 km short of the expected landing site. It's not a matter for concern just a matter of time before the helicopters find the crew."

(Still saying EGAD.)

They haven't found the capsule yet? Are they in radio contact?

I'll keep gulping until I know they're safe.

18.6 miles? I think? I know a 10K run is 6.2 miles...

I can remember a sign on the Interstate that said 1 mile = 1.61 kilometers or something like that but I wasn't sure! Math and I as you can probably guess are not friends!

Acording to my handy-dandy Visor Prism PDA conversion calculator, it is exactly

18.64113576712 miles.

It would seem to be a simple matter of pulling out the GPS and giving the recovery team the latitude and longitude. You would think that they would have a GPS unit on board.

30 minutes away from landing site. If it is 30 km away that is 1km per minute. or 37.5 MPH. Wow, what slow choppers.
