A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 5/1/03

President Bush and First Lady Laura began the day in a ceremony honoring the National Day of Prayer. Bush then headed to San Diego where he co-piloted a Navy Viking jet and landed on the USS Abraham Lincoln, a truly historic moment for American Presidents and our country. The President then spoke to the nation saying that major combat operations in Iraq are over. Bush also took the opportunity to once again thank the men and women of our military. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Nobody could of scripted this today, we saw George W. Bush at home with the people he LOVES, We saw George W. Bush with the people he admires. This wasn't a Ra Ra speech for the troops, it was a homecoming and a day that belongs to our President and he deserves it.And I feel so sorry for those who are too cynical to appreciate what we have now. To see George Bush and enjoy every day he's at the helm.
The man who leads this country today is someone I never hoped we could be lucky enough to have.
Once again, we have been blessed.

I didn't see that, but this afternoon it was so cool because when he had just gotten out of the plane and was shaking hands, at one point he started walking in one direction and someone said "Mr. President!" and he turned around and walked right over to them and started a whole series of pictures with that bunch! He was so casual and relaxed---it was fantastic to see.

One last post. I have friends that go to Oshkosh every year and absolutely love it. That is funny that that would be the first thing you think of about a move! When you get there, check out a regional pastry called kringle. My Mother-in-law is from there and whenever she goes back she brings back a car-load of them. They are to die for.
Night!

And this is the guy the Liberals and Democrats call stupid, not smart, etc.
You don't fly jets unless you are smart.
W has them all snookered, and I'm glad.

It was nice to tell off that dirty PIG..
The monsters in Stephen King novels, are not the ones we should fear..
It's the MONSTERS who walk among us...
Take Scott Peterson, for instance..

(Fighter Pilots make Great Presidents)
To: lawgirl
-----after finding out that President Bush actually FLEW the plane I wonder- is this the first time a sitting president has piloted a military aircraft? I can't think of another one who might have. GHW Bush could have, but I don't think he did.
In fact, I heard B-1 Bob Dornan earlier tonight who said he tried to convince 41 to take a flight on a B-1 back in '91 or '92, and 41 didn't want to do it. But what other one would have been able to fly a plane? I can't think of one.
