dismissed it as part of the Navy system in which "you've got to get a little bit of every network."

Phillips quickly dismissed it as part of the Navy system in which "you've got to get a little bit of every network." Since when? I've been told the Collaborators' News Network is the network of record.

Yea, right. I'm sure they watched Peter Jennings and Baghdad Bob for comical relief.

Phillips quickly dismissed it as part of the Navy system in which "you've got to get a little bit of every network." That is NOT what the sailors onboard said today.
They watch Fox News ALL the time.

But, you know, that's the Navy system. You've got to get a little bit of every network..."
What??!! Thanks Kira for reporting a big fat lie!!! There's no such thing in the Navy system. Wonder how many viewers actually believed her?

they're showing Fox News. But, you know, that's the Navy system. You've got to get a little bit of every network..." The US Navy orders its pilots which TV news to watch? And that order results in ... them not watching CNN?
Right.

At least they were caught with a live feed ala Fox did during the shuttle diaster. They were running the CNN feed and CNN managed to get their anchor and logo on Fox. Hey, it's cool as long as it's Fox.

During the hand shaking and picture taking on the deck, I switched over to CNN to see how they were spining it. The talking heads were talking about how Bush I was so popular after Gulf I, but let the economy slide and lost the next election. They were speculating (hoping) that it might happen again with Bush II. Jerks.

The remote on ALL Navy ships work the same way. The people hit the FOX button, like the British Navy TV remotes where the troops select SKY NEWS.

I put CNN on for a few minutes to see how they were spinning everything while waiting for Bush's plane to land on the USS Abraham Lincoln. The CNN anchor asked its reporter if the folks were happy about going home soon and excited to see Bush arriving on board.
The reporter then spent several minutes discussing how much everybody missed their families... and COMPLETELY ignored any mention of Bush. Never said a word in response to the rest of the question. I turned it right back to Fox.

I noticed that during combat operations. When there was a CNN "reporter" around the military with a TV, you could bet that the TV was tuned to FNC!
