A bit of a humorous moment on CNN on Wednesday afternoon when Kyra Phillips, their reporter aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, realized, "I hate to say it," that the TVs in the pilots' ready-room were tuned to the Fox News Channel. Phillips quickly dismissed it as part of the Navy system in which "you've got to get a little bit of every network."
MRC analyst Ken Shepherd caught this candid moment which occurred at 1:13pm EDT as Phillips relayed a question from anchor Miles O'Brien, about how the pilots watch landings, to a Navy pilot who explained that the TVs in their ready-room can show the flight deck.
Phillips pointed out the TVs hanging from the ceilings in the corner of the room, though they were too distant to really see what they were showing: "Up here on these screens, you're going to see the screens up there on the right, I hate to say it, they're showing Fox News. But, you know, that's the Navy system. You've got to get a little bit of every network..."
Just getting a little bit more of FNC.

The remote on ALL Navy ships work the same way. The people hit the FOX button, like the British Navy TV remotes where the troops select SKY NEWS.

That is NOT what the sailors onboard said today. They watch Fox News ALL the time. And it's not just the Navy. The Army is hooked on Fox, too. I spend a fair bit of time on a nearby post here in MD and lobbies in key processing facilities always have Fox on as does the bowling alley (about 24 screens- lol).

"Baghdad Bob for comical relief"
Whatever happened with him ? -
Last I heard he was reporting he was still alive and wanted to surrender.

Only time I watch CNN is when I want to watch the expression on their faces (when it's clear yet another plank of the far-leftist agenda has failed) - for example, the precise moment when G.W. Bush was declared the winner on election night (for a brief period anyway); it's truly priceless. From an intellectual standpoint it's also interesting to see how they tip-toe around certain issues, ignore them altogether, or slant the story to suit their weltanschaung. They have improved considerably in the last few years, however - due to competition no doubt, and public sentiment.

I put CNN on for a few minutes to see how they were spinning everything while waiting for Bush's plane to land on the USS Abraham Lincoln. The CNN anchor asked its reporter if the folks were happy about going home soon and excited to see Bush arriving on board.
The reporter then spent several minutes discussing how much everybody missed their families... and COMPLETELY ignored any mention of Bush. Never said a word in response to the rest of the question. I turned it right back to Fox.

Shall we paste the Dukakis "tank" pic and the Clinton "binnoculars" pic with this one. The difference would be glaring.

Here in my house we also beamed with pride in this President and our military. President Bush showed his pride in the sailors and they returned the sentiment. Could anyone see Hillary Clinton as Commander-in-Chief after watching President Bush today? Also, President Bush looked mighty good in that flight suit.

I think the military aircraft has weight restrictions on passengers...

And it's not just the Navy. The Army is hooked on Fox, too. What would you rather watch? Katie frowning at the latest from Iraq or E.D. smiling and wearing her 3rd ID badge? It seems to me that's a no-brainer.

I noticed that during combat operations. When there was a CNN "reporter" around the military with a TV, you could bet that the TV was tuned to FNC!

Bump! Awesome Picture! We need to invent a new bumper sticker!
"My President can kick your Presidents Ass!"

Anybody else notice the Font and flag style of this banner looks
extremely similar to the much criticized "Live flag" of a certain pro military network?
I'm sure the military men are just surfing around like she said.

Yeah! Clinton News Network got Bushwhacked.
My neice, who naturally got liberalized in college 5 yrs ago, broke up with her boyfriend because he wanted to watch CNN during the war and she wanted to only watch FOX. :)
