Michael Reagan: Hillary Is Running for President Next Year, Not 2008

In Sen. Hillary Clintons attack on President Bushs economic policies, comparing him to Herbert Hoover, she was staking out her claim to the Democrats' 2004 presidential nomination, says radio talk show host and nationally syndicated columnist Michael Reagan.
President Ronald Reagans oldest son, a NewsMax Magazine columnist, writes that Hillarys speech at a Democrat function in Connecticut "is a dead giveaway to the fact that shes going after the Democrat presidential nomination next year not in 2008 as all the so-called experts have been predicting."
In his syndicated column released today, Reagan wrote that Hillary looked around "at the carnival of fools now in the running, and recognized just what fools they are. And shes right they are a bunch of fools and none of them has any chance of beating George W. Bush next year."
Reagan based his prediction on two factors that must have been obvious to Hillary:

    - She and her husband still control the Democrat party, and therefore control the purse strings, giving her a war chest none of the other candidates can match. (And then there's her remarkable talent for raising money, most of which benefits herself, not her fellow Democrat pols.)

 - She and Bill have beaten one Bush before, back in 1992, and she believes they can beat another one in 2004 by using the same issue: Its the economy, stupid.
"What the people in Connecticut saw the other night in her speech was basically the first announcement of her 2004 presidential campaign," Reagan wrote.

Well the way she was screeching like a banshee I figure she is up to something. One thing people DON'T want to see is someone who is as shrill as she is. She better get that splinter out of her butt is she is thinking about running or she won't even get out of the starting gate!

Many of us know that and have been saying that all along. If she changes her mind, then it deserves a thread.

Even Dick (the p***k Morris says she is running - no doubt to fill her war chest.
To: kattracks
I'll beleive it when I see it - skeptic time. How does Mr. Reagan know this - speculation is my guess.
To: kattracks
I don't buy it. No Dimrat stands a chance in 04, especially not a radical like her. She will dodge this campaign and go in 08 when she stands at least a remote chance.
To: familyofman
Alot of people have been speculating on her running but the one WHO REALLY WANTS HER TO RUN is Chris Matthews! He practically drools at the thought of it! He is totally obsessed with Hillary!

If one of the Dem nominees does better than expected, and actually poses a serious threat to W, that will demonstrate the a "regime change" might actually be possible in 2004. In such a case, I would expect either a small plane accident, or a release of seriously dirty laundry aimed at taking down the front-runner. After that, the Dems might be looking for a replacement candidate ...

She and Bill have beaten one Bush before, back in 1992, and she believes they can beat another one in 2004 by using the same issue: It's the economy, stupid.AND......and they learned from their mistakes in 2000 with the Voter New Service when the DNC wasn't able to steal the elections for algore.
Folks, you can walk around with your chest puffed out, stick your nose up in the air, and proudly grunt, "At least I voted," but, sorry, nobody's been counting your vote for decades........

If she doesn't run in 2004 and Bush loses, she will not challenge an incumbent Democrat president in 2008. That means she will have to wait about ten years from now just to run for the presidency. If the incumbent Dem screws up, a Republic will likely win and she has to wait an additional 4 or 8 years. I don't think she wants to wait that long. Yes? No?

Who is she going to "geld" to run with her?
Think about it: the simp in second spot will have to bow to her highness. Who will agree to be her VP? Bill? Maybe Jesse Jackson.

    True.

All the money she is raising she is going to keep for herself.

This is why Kerry has to dip into his own finances and why the Dem House members are pooling their money.

    Rush is on this now.

I believe it. '08 is too late. By then Pres. Bush will have changed the whole political landscape. Hillary wouldn't have a chance then.
To: kattracks
    She's not running . . . wouldn't be prudent . . . wouldn't be prudent.
Reagan is just trying to get ratings. Eight years of putting the Clinton legacy behind, eight years of new voters coming of age and eight years of the emerging Hispanic vote and Hitlary will seize the best opportunity she'll ever have. She's not stupid and she's not running in '04.

Bingo. That's why it's this year or nothing.

Explains why Clinton is visiting Canada, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. He's got a nasty "October" surpise plan to try and get her in.

Look for boatloads of illegals or terrorist attacks.

"One thing people DON'T want to see is someone who is as shrill as she is." Bet your last dollar the Joe and Jane Sixpack out in flyover country WON'T see it. Alternative news sources notwithstanding, most people STILL get their news from PETERDANTOM. And if this clip ever gets any airtime (which is doubtful in itself), rest assured it will be spliced and edited to look like Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.
Remember how the "boos" were edited out of Her Heinous' 9/11 fundraising rally on VH1?
