"In a letter soliciting Southern Democrats to join his new 'campaign advisory committee,'" Sen. John Edwards, D-N.C., "asserts that he is a different kind of Southerner than" former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott, R- Miss., newsobserver.com reports.

Different kind of Southerner means:

1) Lives in multi-million dollar house in Georgetown.
2) Votes in line with Ted Kennedy.
3) Gets most of his campaign money from California.
4) Boycotts states that fly the Confederate flag.
5) Jokes that he will make Jeff Gordon Secretary of State.
6) Hires Los Angeles joke writer to develop jokes for the Gridiron Dinner, which explains #5.

Edwards stinks however we cannot take anything for granted and have to come out on force election day before him or someone worse capitalizes on the fickle public and is able to propel themselves another JFK or something

Laura Ingraham does a pretty good HRC imitation on her radio show. She's been impersonating HRC for a few days now.

Couldn't agree more -- we need to treat this election like our candidates are behind. Cong Watts had that philosophy even when he was opposed by someone who was pulling about 15% of the vote -- he still ran a campaign like he was behind! That is how you win!

Sure do miss J.C. in the House from my district.
