But then, that was the whole point of this dispute. The Catholic position is that homosexuals themselves are not bad people, but that the homosexual act itself is a sin.

Now before everyone goes off scurrying to their dictionary to find some obscure definition used in some literary work 20000 years ago, it's funny that when the word sodomy is used, there's this rush to make it mean something non-obvious and counterintuitive. This is always done by the homosexual lobby who wants to amass the largest number of people affected by the law as possible, in direct opposition to the plain meaning of the law and common sense.
