I am in Cumming.....I felt it. At first I thought a tree fell on the hoiuse, but did not hear anything. Everything was moving, even the leaves on the plants.

My second thought was an earthquake, but I did not feel anything, but it must have been. Aren't we on a fault? The Brevard fault, I believe.

(Hope it wasn't the damn breaking....glad I live above it.)

I felt it here in Tennessee, for about 2 seconds. I'm on the state line, fairly close to Huntsville, AL.

Was felt right at the top of the hour. Wasn't severe, but certainly noticed. :)

I felt it at (on my computer clock) exactly 5:00am. Lasted a good ten seconds, everything rattled.

I filed a new earthquake report on USGS just before coming here to check out if any FReepers in Atlanta were awake and on-line...should have known!

I'm in Smyrna and felt it, too. Lasted for about 15 seconds, shook the lamps. I knew there would be a thread about this.

Is any part of GA on a fault line? I can't recall ever hearing of an earthquake in GA. It must be quite scary for you! I hope it was an anomaly.

So, that was an earthquake? I figured it was a train in the distance or something.. LOL But, then, I'm in the western NC mountains probably near the edge of the zone..
