Freep Foxnews! I'm getting sick of this!
Posted on 04/27/2003 4:50:47 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55
I've e-mailed them once, and it doesn't seem to be getting their attention.
Julian Phillips on the weekend Fox and Friends is blatantly shoving his liberal crap down the throats of the viewers.
Not only that, but he keeps calling our President just "Bush" Here is an example of what he has been saying...
"Bush needs to be held accountable if we don't find these weapons of mass destruction. I understand that they are hard to find, but thats the only reason Bush went in there in the first place."
He said over and over virtually the same thing yesterday, and I e-mailed Foxnews, and nothing has changed.

So they have a liberal on their show? What's the problem? If they had ONLY liberals (like a lot of other networks) then I wouldn't like it but to just have SOME liberals doesn't bother me a bit. What's the matter? Can't stand listening to a contrary view? Hey, I even started to read Das Kapital in the school library once. It didn't turn me into a Bolshevik but it did put me to sleep.

Have written Fox as well re Julian referencing President Bush and Wendell Goler as well. . .
This lack of title, for our President is unfortunately becomming more and more the norm it seems; Wendell Goler reporting from WH no less, seems determined to not use proper title. . .hear it more and more even at Fox. . .swear I even heard Tony Snow reference a 'Mr.' Bush.
But, yes, Julian is the worst of the Lib/leaning in his referencing. . .and no matter what position he espouses; shows that he does not 'get it'.
He asked earlier, what do 'we' have to do, to mend our damaged relationship with France. . .

I believe it's a matter of whiney (sp?) disrespect for The President at issue here. So a liberal makes herself look bad with lousy manners. And you want to stop her from destroying her own credibility? Why?

Here's what I just sent :-
Hello,
I love Fox News, and (in no specific order) Brit Hume, Tony Snow, Bob Sellers, Paige Hopkins, Rita Cosby, David Asman, Cavuto on Business, Brenda Buttner, Bridget Quinn and any number of others whose names I can't get to roll off the tip of my tongue and fingers.
But Julian Phillips has got to go.
I know you believe in and practice "fair and balanced" but having this liberal idiot who insists in DIShonoring our President by calling him "Bush" has me totally disgusted this Morning. For HIS information, he is PRESIDENT Bush, and I'm tired of hearing him do the liberal thing, and only refer to our President and CINC by his last name.
Bring back Bob Sellers to the weekend F&F - and get this guy Phillips off of the air.
Thank you.
A serious hours-a-day watcher/listener of Fox News,
(signed my real name and town and state)

PJ, let me try this again. It isn't that Julian is liberal. Fox has many liberals on from time to time. I don't get this irritated by Eleanor Clift, for goodness sake!
Julian is not a commentator, like Clift, Ratner, or Ferraro. He is one of the HOSTS of the morning show.
In such a position, it is his responsibility to be informed, respectful to the President AND the President's supporters, to conduct questioning in a reasonably informed manner, and get basic facts correct. He is free to inject his point of view to a degree, but this is not what he is doing.
Have I changed the channel? You bet. However, as I said earlier, they need to know WHY they are losing viewers at this time period.

I know he sounds a bit effeninet (sp?) but is Julian Phillips of whom they are speaking.... not Juliet

It's very apparent that the other anchors don't get along with Julian, especially Juliet. I think she would be much better if she didn't have to anchor with him. He keeps her on the defensive too much.

Fox & Friends is growing to become more a monument to the quota system of Affrimative Action than an informative factual presentation!
Dump the political correctness and aim for excellence based on facts. So are you saying that minorities that report for Fox are unqualified to be reporters and that they're only on the show because affirmative action forces Fox to hire them?

Come on people; fair and balanced means you present BOTH sides. It's a news show, not the Conservative Report. If you only give the conservative side you become no more credible as a NEWS organization than ABC or whatever.
The Conservative viewpoint will win 95 out of a 100 times as long as it get presented. The conservative viewpoint looks and sounds better when it is juxtaposed against whiney liberalism. I emailing FOX to tell them what a great job they are doing. I suggest you do they same.

Personally, I think Julliet H is pretty smart and savy. When Phillips is on I just turn the volumn down and watch Jullitt. Here's my FOX Dream Team: Julliett Huddy, Dari Alexander and Jennifer Eckleston. WOW

He's just a Lefty for the weekend fare. Pretty safe to have him on Sunday when many viewers are going to church and when they have a chance to scoop up some more liberal viewers.
Fox is still a business, you know. And if we're going to be fair and balanced, why not take advantage of that during the meaningless low-impact time slots like Fox & Friends on weekend mornings.
Much ado about nothing.

That's ok, I have to look up "hypocracy" every time I type it.

It opens us to charges that we are simply opposed to Julian because he is black. But we are opposed to Julian because he's black. Dontcha get it :-)

"He keeps her on the defensive too much. "
We have noticed that as well. Since he came over to Fox
from the WB channel in New York, he has
brought an amature look to the Weekend show

Nope. I simply want Julian Phillips to conduct himself more professionally.
I like Lauren Green and Wendell Goler, and I suggest that Julian take some lessons from them.
