The Harrisburg Patriot News Decoursey reports that Senator Rick Santorums (R-PA) defenders are now under gag order.
White House and Republican National Committee officials told GOP insiders yesterday by conference call, voice mail and e-mail not to comment about Santorum's comments letting them speak for himself.

Do you believe now that homosexual priests ought not be punished? Yes,they should be punished. The homosexual priests were preying on minors. While a homosexual priest who has relations with an adult won't go to jail, he still ought to be booted out of the priesthood.

that is a big joke, people here that stood with the rats did it to him. Oh give it a rest with this rationalizing idiocy already! It makes this defense harder, but the White House needs to invest some political capital and defend Santorum now. Lott had made pro segregation comments in the past, spinning that only weakens our cred.
Beating that cynical dead horse is like the DNC talking about the 2000 election. People get turned off, stop marginalizing us.

??? The obvious response is, you didn't read or didn't understand what I posted! Did you miss the part about there being no need for 'bedroom cops'? Wow, how very devious of you to assert a fantasy regarding the society, then ignore the most cogent point in the post.

bottom line is those that slammed Lott with the Left and forced him to resign his post to Frist who is even worst are to blame for this latest liberal move on Rick.
If people from the right don't stand our ground and we allow the rats even one foot in their move ahead, then what do you expect them to do? Yep they then want a yard or a mile. Just like the estrada bs in the senate Frist won't do what he must so now the rats have Bush and his Judges held hostage. As for this of course there is more here, its called gain another foot from the right. Since we caved on Lott, the rats are counting on it again, and who said they play fair ie, the reporter and the Dnc. To democrat scumits war everyday with the helpof their planted media scum.

It's simple, actually:
A simple statement like this:
"Senator Santorum was clearly misquoted, and we would certainly hope that the Associated Press will have to decency and iontegrity to do everything possible to rectify the situation AND to take steps that such a things does not happen again."
Make the reporter's conduct the issue.

Well, I'll just have to be patient. I think this would be an investment, but its not like Bush needs to court the Religious Right I suppose.

If most people agreed with Santorum the White House would be solidly behind him. When they close the door to the voting booth they agree with him. A whole lot of folks lost in VT after the marriage thing there and VT's pretty liberal.
Most Americans don't want government dictating their sexual practices. It ain't just about gays any more.
Its a state's right to regulate sexual practices. Its not a federal issue at all which is the main point of Santorum's. Using his analogy to your statement, if we cannot regulate sexual practices then we have no right to regulate incest.

But that isn't the argument. You are trying to find another story here, and the one about this particular lawsuit has nothing to do with Rick Santorum.
You are tying to pin the sodomy law on him, and it isn't going to stick.
The issue was what was/was not stated, and how the media and Left attacked his religious beliefs.
This don't fly with the middle. You know that. So, now the story is "let's twist it into something that will stick".
To: mabelkitty
Then fax them talking points, like the democrats do. As you say, heaven knows they could use some..
I am not interested in supporting anything that helps mainstream this behavior. Easily enforcable or not.
It's nothing but a bunch of people trying to mainstream their favorite perversion, imo.

The people who want government out of the bedroom and to cease regulating sexual behavior is not a special interest group. I'd say they represent 60 to 80% of the population. Lets ask them if we should allow incest.

While a homosexual priest who has relations with an adult won't go to jail, he still ought to be booted out of the priesthood. If privacy is to be protected, according to you, those immoral acts ought not be subject to subpeoena in any case. Is this what you are saying?

The gays would not have attacked if Lott stayed ? Give me a break.
I think our cave validated this strategy in their minds.
Santorum's comments weren't out of line and his explanation made perfect sense. They are going to ride this out, hoping we will throw him overboard.
