that is a big joke, people here that stood with the rats did it to him. Oh give it a rest with this rationalizing idiocy already! It makes this defense harder, but the White House needs to invest some political capital and defend Santorum now. Lott had made pro segregation comments in the past, spinning that only weakens our cred.
Beating that cynical dead horse is like the DNC talking about the 2000 election. People get turned off, stop marginalizing us.

It's simple, actually:
A simple statement like this:
"Senator Santorum was clearly misquoted, and we would certainly hope that the Associated Press will have to decency and iontegrity to do everything possible to rectify the situation AND to take steps that such a things does not happen again."
Make the reporter's conduct the issue.
