I agree with her on the ugly comment but being black doesn't hold anyone back. Besides she is 1/2 white.

She is, so she'll just have to date me until she feels better about herself.

Ms.Berry does not seem to understand that in the bigger picture it aint about you . I dont look the same as I did yesterday either .
I suggest stepping outside of yourself Ms. Berry . Find something in your core bigger than you physically are . That victim hood thing has only so many legs to run on .

Ugly, that is a stretch.

There's more to life than being physically attractive. Most of the people in this world aren't so photogenic, telegenic, moviegenic, or any other -genic. Most of us are (merely) average-looking, or maybe not even that. Halle has (very) good looks, and it's obviously gotten her far in life. She hasn't had to understand that, for mere mortals, a person's inner beauty is far more important, since looks eventually fade. What's really important is the person and the effect s/he has on those around.
My advice for Halle: Who are you? Not what you DO, but WHO ARE YOU? What kind of person do you want to be? What do you want your life to mean? You only get one shot, so step back and answer those questions, then decide what you want to do with your life.
In a sense I feel sorry for these people. In their line of work, for some reason they don't wind up with the close family and friend structures we form. Don't ask me why. I have a job, indeed a career, but I also have friends outside of that, friends who will probably be friends for life. I have family who are very close. Maybe it's because I'm neither rich nor famous, but IMHO all you can do is do the best you can to lead a good life, preferably with people who love you. I guess a lot of people in Hollywood just don't understand that.

Regardless of whether she's ugly, she certainly *doesn't* think she is.
BTW, why isn't this in Breaking News?

The Ivory Tower mentality of liberalism.... I think I'm ugly too but beauty is only skin deep.... Peopele who have nothing of value spiritually usually end up feeling just the way she describes herself. Low self esteme. And the part about being black as hiderance in Hollywood is pure crap being the only 12-14% of the population is black in America it would seem she gets her fair share. The beautiful part is really sad for if she were white or hispanic I wouldn't look twice except that her blackness fits her physical appearance, not that's naughty not nice:)

I agree with her.
She is ugly.

If she had character, she'd cease to think of herself as ugly.

What happened to beautiful women smiling instead of scowling? This isn't just looking serious. This is looking sour.

I am simply amazed to see anyone, let alone this MANY people, could say they do not think Halle Berry is pretty. Emotionally ugly, perhaps - but she is undoubtedly one of the most physically beautiful women in the world. Absolutely stunning.
Nuttier than a fruitcake, but stunning nevertheless.

Halle?

Halle was a babe. But then Billy Bob Thornton laid on her in some movie and that just ruined her forever for me. She goes into the Jolie category of Billy Bob related untouchables now.

Who are we to argue with this fugly and talented actress? If she's ugly, she's ugly. I won't disagree with her considered and timely opinion. After all, it's HOLLYWOOD!
I wonder when they will start a support group for personality dismorphic disorder? Maybe poor Halle can be the group leader?
