There's more to life than being physically attractive. Most of the people in this world aren't so photogenic, telegenic, moviegenic, or any other -genic. Most of us are (merely) average-looking, or maybe not even that. Halle has (very) good looks, and it's obviously gotten her far in life. She hasn't had to understand that, for mere mortals, a person's inner beauty is far more important, since looks eventually fade. What's really important is the person and the effect s/he has on those around.

My advice for Halle: Who are you? Not what you DO, but WHO ARE YOU? What kind of person do you want to be? What do you want your life to mean? You only get one shot, so step back and answer those questions, then decide what you want to do with your life.

In a sense I feel sorry for these people. In their line of work, for some reason they don't wind up with the close family and friend structures we form. Don't ask me why. I have a job, indeed a career, but I also have friends outside of that, friends who will probably be friends for life. I have family who are very close. Maybe it's because I'm neither rich nor famous, but IMHO all you can do is do the best you can to lead a good life, preferably with people who love you. I guess a lot of people in Hollywood just don't understand that.
