Very much true. There is the sympathy factor though. I don't think Andrea ever had shock treatment. She was on some major drugs though. Sad to think that she was the Valedictorian of her class in 1981. Even the "experts" said because of the psycotic drugs, her brain is fried, she will never be remotely the same person. Then add the guilt.

And after the fact, he traded in her car, 2 weeks after, she was missing, to buy himself a new truck. That really says SOCIOPATH.

I've been hearing for a while now, both in articles and on tv interviews with psychologists, that the terms sociopath and psychopath are now considered to mean the same thing.

So he should be called what he is: PSYCHOPATH!

The stuff about cement blocks was discussed on Greta's show on Fox News yesterday. The entire panel of criminal defense attorneys, detectives, and legal analysts were discussing how the police were suspicious since 12/26 when they discovered he'd been making cement blocks previously. They found the forms for making the cement, and some of the blocks were missing. They asked him about the missing blocks, and he couldn't remember what had happened to them. The panel all agreed you don't make cement blocks and then 'forget' what happened to them. The panel also mentioned a lot of other evidence that i haven't seen written in print articles, so they're obviously using different sources than me!

I just did a Google check and the school was Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.

Also I said she was murdered (wich she porbably is) but she is considered Missing since 1996.

RG, I just saw that! I saw the best man and maid of honor interviewed on MSNBC. First, I couldn't believe Scott called her last night from jail, neither could she. But when the best man said that when he asked Scott about the change in his hair color (note that even his eyebrows are perfectly tinted) and Scott used the swimming pool
ruse, that blew my mind. I can't wait to watch the fun with the mayhem his lawyer will have, taking bets on how many will walk from his case ;-)

According to the former FBI agent who investigated Kristin Smart's disappearance, she and Scott only attended Cal Poly at the same time. Scott never came up as one of the 200 people interviewed. He maintained that the only connection at the time was that they attended the same school at the same time. But he also said that in light of his wife/baby's murders, FBI would probably be taking another look at the CalPoly disappearance. Highly coincidental? Yup. But no, they weren't dating.

That's what struck me, too. Usually these defense lawyers on these programs are always finding the most illogical, far-fetched weakness in a case against someone. But not last night. They almost universally thought he was guilty, and it was only a matter of how to get him off a death penalty.

Usually these defense lawyers make me upset when I see them defending worthless scum, but i have to admit that I think Feiger is kinda cute. :-)

About Kristen Smart...talked to my sister last night. She lives in Modesto and her husband is LE. She mentioned that Scott Peterson's friend was the one dating Kristen Smart.

What were Scott's extracurricular activities at CPSLO? Boating, golfing? There are golf courses at Morro Bay and Pismo Beach.

Nothing like a little humor to ease the tension on this tragedy. In spite of my sadness over the murders of this apparently sweet young woman, I actually laughed out loud at the image of a golfcart chase. Thanks for the chuckle.

I know that whenever someone commits a heinous crime, the public reaction is "what kind of animal is he/she?". Well, no kind of animal. And to call SP an animal is to degrade animals everywhere. Animals do not premeditate murder for money, greed, lust, revenge.

sp is most definitely NOT an animal; not fit to be in the same family as the animal kingdom. This guy is simply evil.

I was not feeling well yesterday so I couldn't keep up with the threads, but on 20/20 last night I thought I heard Barbara Walters say that the police had found a receipt for anchor weights, but my husband and daughter said Barbara said they found a receipt for ankle weights which if either anchor or ankle weights he was not able to produce either.

Did either one of you hear this? If he thought he could weigh her down with ankle weights he is dumb.

Scott Peterson held in wife's death

One witness to the arrest said two officers, one with his gun drawn and wearing a bulletproof vest, warned him away from the golf course as he arrived to work just after 11 a.m.

Steve Osetek, the manager of the golf course's driving range, said he saw police arrest a tall man with dark hair. Osetek was unaware the man was Scott Peterson.

"At first I thought it was somebody famous, because we get a lot of famous people here," Osetek said.

Modesto homicide investigators spent much of the week listening to court-approved wiretaps and following Peterson, who had stayed out of public view since the body of his wife and the fetus were discovered. "We thought it was important to keep track of Scott," the police chief said. Lockyer said Peterson had waved at detectives and was "being kind of a smart aleck" before the arrest.
