You all have fun tomorrow! We'll be at the inlaws in Burlington CO for Easter weekend. No leftists out there that I know of to Freep. As far as pro-troop rallies go, I've never heard of any out there either, but I'll have to ask. You never know.

Sorry I couldn't make it this Saturday, folks.
It went like this...
My Wife's Dad was sick,
They visited him,
Came home,
Kissed yours truly,
*cough*
Well, I've felt better.
See ya next week...

Unless they bring me the plague....

GREELY REPORT:
In Greeley the wind was back to its normal self, hard and mean. We had a hard time holding the flags and signs today but it was worth it to hear the honks of support for our troops. I sent my wife down to the peace puke corner to see how they were holding up and she had a sign for them, it had on it "FREED IRAQI PEOPLE NOT IN YOUR NAME" it did get them pissed off. The only honks at this corner was when my wife put up the honk for the troops sign she took with her. My wife has become a hard nose FReeper in her own right. We had only one helper today but because of the weather I'am glad to have the one, he is a member of the local Marine corp league. The will be photos on my site later. It is at http://photos.yahoo.com/dalep61

LOVELAND REPORT:
The rally at Loveland has become a great rally in any weather rain or shine. There was 20 or 30 people out in the rain doing a great job showing support for the troops. The people even got to see a auto accident to just like a demo derby. Thankfully no one hurt. The wind was not as bad as Greeley thank you GOD!! I'll have pictures at the site above on this one to. It is hard to belive that two hours can go by so fast when you are doing FReeps like this. There are people coming from all over Colorado to these rallies some even came from Denver. They are finding out on the web sites both FreeRepubic and Fivetoes one that he has done for the Loveland Service men and women in the armed forces and their families. I can't wait for the big rally fivetoes is planning in the coming weeks it should be a GREAT ONE!!

The rain may have discouraged some folks from coming out, but that did not stop the 32 or so people from taking a stand and showing support for our troops. At 12:55 p.m. it was gently raining and it looked like it was not going to let up. As if by divine intervention, at exactly 1:00 p.m. the rain stopped. The skies remained overcast throughout our two hour rally, except for a brief moment when good old Mr. Sun peeked through a hole in the clouds.

One proud mom from Denver whose son is in the service drove all the way from Denver to stand on the corner with us. She held a sign with a picture of her son on it. She found out about our rally by going to the 9 News link from the interview of Mike Pappas which took her to the Loveland web site for people supporting the troops and their families. From there she found out about us taking a stand on the corner.

The proud mom from Denver.

We were joined once again by the Colorado Patriots Fife and Drum Corps who played brilliantly as ususal. Talking with Paul the piper afterwards, he informed us that the Marine Corps Hymn was originally composed to be played by bagpipes. It is probably why it sounds outstanding when the fife and drum corps play it.

The Colorado Patriots Fife and Drum Corps played once again.

As usual, the horn honking was extremely enthusiastic! It was interupted for a brief moment when someone was driving too close to someone else who decided at the last second to turn into the Dairy Queen. There was a rear end fender bender that resulted.

The Associated Veterans Club has been selling 'Support Out Troops' lawn signs and bumper stickers. This week they added t-shirts to the line of products. All proceeds from the sales of these products are going to be used to send Love packages to the troops from Loveland.

The new 'Support Our Troops' T-shirts have arrived.

Here are a few more pictures of the rally.

These two were taken by Deb from Greeley, gophardline's wife. The first is gophardline dodging traffic and the second is of a member of the support group whose sister is in Iraq.

Great job you guys! Sounds like about 3/4 of us N. Colo. Freeper "regulars" ended up all having some problem or other on the same day, and couldn't make it. I'm sure the Ft. Collins one went OK though.

I especially liked this one --
"FREED IRAQI PEOPLE NOT IN YOUR NAME"

Heh heh!! I just LOVE that!! You haven't copyrighted it, have you?
