'Knight Rider' Heads to Big Screen
Mon Apr 14, 9:06 PM ETLOS ANGELES (AP) - The 1980s television series "Knight Rider" and its crime-busting, talking car are revving up for the big screen.
The drama starred David Hasselhoff (news) as Michael Knight, owner of the high-tech Pontiac Trans Am known as K.I.T.T. The film is planned as an action comedy, Daily Variety reported Monday.
This time, Hasselhoff will serve as executive producer for the Revolution Studios project, the trade paper said. Glen A. Larson, who created the TV show, is among the producers.
It's not yet known who will star in the film.

It's official: Hollywood has completely run out of ideas.Whoever dreamed this up looked over at his cubicle-mate and said (c'mon, say it with me!)...

If you want on or off this list, please let me know!

hell, their red sensors even made the same "whuuur-whur, whuuur-whur" noise.
That proves it: KITT is the result of reverse-engineered space-alien technology! THAT's what happened at Roswell!

cmiiw, but was there not a very bad, very short-lived new Knight Rider show on tv sometime in the last few years? How about the new Get Smart series, with Don Adams as the chief? I think it lasted about four weeks.

Yeah, I remember that. It did kind of resemble "Viper" now that you mention it. I remember Devon was killed in the beginning and guns were outlawed and they tranquilizer-darted James Doohan ("Star Trek"'s Scotty). I'm pretty sure the show did suck...

Anyone else like teh cartoons circa 1997 or the new Batman Beyond? How about the ones from the ~1993 or thereabouts [BTAS]? Cool show, though like A-team it had those magical miss-guns.

I heard from my sister's friend's cousin that Joel Schumacher was going to do another Batman movie where Dick and Bruce "declare their true feelings" for one another, if you know what I mean ;-)

Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer, Go Speed Racer Go-o-o-o-o-o-o!
I'm surprised they haven't done a Speed Racer movie. I'd have to wary of a Hollywood version though, Hollywood's Godzilla was a clunker.

So is every crappy show that aired from 1980-1990 going to have their own feature film??? What's next "The Facts Of Life"?? "Family Ties"?? "Perfect Strangers"???
Thank God for AMC.

Cowboy Bebop is better though.

Look at Hasselhoff's left leg in that picture - it's Twiggy-sized. This is an action hero? No. That's Gary Coleman. ;-)
