Hollywood Elite Help Pro-Abortion Group's TV Ad Campaign

Hollywood, CA — The pro-abortion Feminist Majority Foundation on Monday launched its nationwide "Never Go Back" campaign, which aims to keep abortion legal in the United States. And it's receiving help from several of Hollywood's elite actresses and musicians.

Katherine Spillar, executive vice president of the abortion advocacy group who spoke at the campaign launch, said that the Supreme Court could have vacancies as soon as this summer, and those vacancies could threaten Roe v. Wade.

Spillar emphasized the importance of Senate leadership — especially pro-abortion Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) — in questioning all of President Bush's judicial nominees about their abortion stance and filibustering the nomination of anyone who does not take a stand on abortion rights.

"What a jurist thinks matters. It affects how they vote," Spillar said.

Actress Amy Brenneman, who was scheduled to be the event's featured speaker but could not attend the meeting for medical reasons, sent a video message to the group of about 50 people saying, "Reproductive freedom is the most important issue facing our leaders today," adding, "It is not a feminist issue. It is not a liberal issue. It is a women's health issue."

Other celebrities involved in the 20-state campaign include: Ashley Judd, Whoopi Goldberg, Tyne Daly, Minnie Driver, Cybil Sheppard, Morgan Fairchild, Camryn Manheim, and Gillian Anderson.

"It is not a feminist issue. It is not a liberal issue. It is a women's health issue."

They're wrong, it's a HUMAN RIGHTS issue and they and their Hollywood pals are on the wrong side of it!

Morgan Fairchild? What a disappointment. I guess yet another Catholic-in-name-only. After her devotion to Our Lady of Medjugorje, too... How sad.

I guess she's joined Martin Sheen in the 'Social Justice' branch of Catholicism. They don't seem to bother with the Ten Commandments, they just want to do things that make them feel good about THEMSELVES.

Bullseye. No matter how you try to rationalize it, murder is murder.

And this coming from the same liberal minded folks, who complained about the loss of innocent life during the war in Iraq.

Haven't you heard? Planned Barrenhood thinks that Abortion Rights for Iraqi women should be part of 'humanitarian aid'.

Thanks, I appreciate the welcome.

I am not really a hollywood fan anyway.(BIG understatement) I haven't seen a movie or network tv in years, and don't miss it. I did, however, discover Pink Floyd late in life, but better late than never. They did a song called Embryo.

EMBRYO
Pink Floyd 1969

Lyrics/Music: Waters

All this love is all I am
A ball is all I am
I'm so new compared to you
And I am very small

Warm glow, moon glow
Always need a little more room

Waiting here seems like years
Never seen the light of day

All around I hear strange sounds come
gurgling in my ear
Red the light and dark the night
I feel my dawn is near

Warm glow, moon glow
Always need a little more room

Whisper low here I go
I will see the sunshine show

"Ashley Judd has been brainwahed by Hollywood. She believes in Hollywood's motto, 'Do as I say, not as I do.'"

Ashley has become just another craven "star," who needs to telegraph to Hollywood what a good little liberal she is despite her upbringing.

Thanks for the post. I've loved Pink Floyd since I was 7 or 8; they are truly and unparalleled group. Oh, and welcome to FR! As a long-time FReeper (3 weeks--heehee), I can promise you that the homepage is absolutely correct when it warns that the message boards are addictive!

Apparently, the minds of these females cannot comprehend the paradoxical nature of their rant! [Minny Driver?... Darn, that hurt! I liked her work.]

They can't understand because their foolish hearts are darkened and blinded. I would force Minnie and others like her to admit that the unborn (at any stage) is a human being (science proves this irrefutably); then I would ask her to tell me the difference between a human being and a person; and then I would watch her sqirm for an answer. I liked Minnie Driver too. Too bad...

One pro-lifer that I know who’s been at this nearly 20 years put the situation in a worse light. She said many, not all but many—of the young women she had counseled in crisis pregnancies knew full well that they would be aborting/killing a real live baby. They did so with a mentality that their situation is as hopeless as a wolf whose leg is caught in a steel trap, it will literally try to chew through it’s own leg to free itself. Their worldly/self-centered mentality puts their careers etc. over the life of their unborn child, and the child is better off dead than born to a mother who does not want them.

She said some devout Christians are even so delusional as to figure that abortion is the best thing they can do for their baby since they are sending the child straight to heaven. Waiting the rest of the nine months to deliver and adopt versus a quick trip to the clinic and “it’s all over” is such an easy “choice” for a corrupted mind to make.

THE MISSING KEY OF THE PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT points out why “legalized” abortion cannot end without a new generation of Christians fully educated on the sanctity of life.

"Reproductive freedom is the most important issue facing our leaders today," adding, "It is not a feminist issue. It is not a liberal issue. It is a women's health issue."

Wow! This is more deception, and generalized false logic that has gone undetected for years. A corrupted way of thinking that has infiltrated most levels of government, church and social movements and proliferates itself through our educational system.
