Before questioning the veracity of the curator, it might help to consider the culture/history on this: the Brits are the ones who saw the antiquities of Iraq as valuable to the world and encouraged such things as museums (also schools, hospitals, and all other modern, western ideas)when they controlled the area way back when. The people over there wouldn't necessarily value a museum. (Keep in mind that many Moslems do not believe in any history before the Prophet, and many believe that ancient structures were put there by genies, etc.) Thus, they might see some of the 5,000 year old artifacts as just more stuff they could use or sell. It is a loss to the world that the museum was plundered, but it has nothing to do with coalition troops.
Now back to the main topic of this thread...

Personally, its the Iraqis' museums to do with what they will. The loss of historic antiquities is distressing to many and not a happy event for others (including me), but compared to what else is going on, its a small thing. As one commentator said, some of the items are not something they can sell on street corners and may eventually be returned to museum collections.
After all, history is even now in the making.

I, personally, am extremely conservative, but not "Republican". And even though I almost violently disagree with the methods of the Democrats, I believe there are still a good many of them who feel they are doing the right thing, and have a noble heart. One that comes to mind is Dan Moynihan, RIP.

I still have this deep down feeling that we did pass out dis-information to the media. Yeah, you know - funny you should mention that; I've been getting the impression that the Pope is Catholic, too...

Forgot to add that Bob Franken with CNN reported that most of the POW's literally SPRINTED off the plane when they moved them south!!!! And I'll bet some of them will ask to go back to their units...

Why don't you read your Bible? I'm not making this stuff up!
Genesis 3:16
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children...

Great news! I'm sick of TV interviews with families all day long!!

Actually, the biology was already there (be fruitful and multiply). The punishment for sin was not singling out the woman FOR childbirth, it was the increase of pain during it.

My son is a 197 lb. body builder, 19 years old, 6 ft. tall, and he couldn't carry a 200 lb. dead weight very far either! No one can.

I didn't have any sorry when I had my kids. Had firt son in normal fairly easy labor. Then second child, the daughter, I had in 49 minutes from first contraction till she was out. Last child, a son, I had in two hours. Can't say that I had any multiplied sorrow bringing forth my children. Now when they were about age 2 and again when they were about age 14 they gave their father and me lots of trouble!!!!!

"vc, don't you have a connection to one of the pilots' families through your wife?" Sorry about the long delay in replying...my puter completely died last Thursday night, and I just now got it working again.
To answer your question, yes, my fiancee's boss is Ronald Young's brother in law.
