This makes the Russians more duplicitous than the French, and I thought that was impossible. I hope we can find a way to starve these bast@rd$ out.

The jealousy and hatred these folks have for us is disgusting.

That's it, no more Russian Vodka for me!

I withhold my opnonions until I see those "documents" publicised.
Saddam WMD threatened Russia same way as US. So if Russia pressed Saddam to abandon WMD it is good.

"I think it's time we just accept that most of the rest of the world wants us either prostrated or dead. "

And we better start treating them that way, unless they are tried and true friends, like the UK.

Moscow also provided Saddam with lists of assassins available for "hits" in the West and details of arms deals to neighbouring countries. The two countries also signed agreements to share intelligence, help each other to "obtain" visas for agents to go to other countries and to exchange information on the activities of Osama bin Laden, the al-Qa'eda leader

Well Gosh Golly Gee ... How you think Puttie is gonna explain this one?

Oh really?

Well, I think Moscow can take their weapons bill and sit on it. AFAIAC, the cold War isn't over yet.. Not while Russia is offering hit men to dictators like Saddam. No way.

I also think The what goes unsaid here is the UN's role in this. The French and Russia used UN rules to undermine us.

There is nothing to be gained by allowing our enemies to use procedural rules, votes and veto's against us in this fashion. I think we should wash our hands of the UN at this point.

>> Is Turkey missing that $26 Billion they threw away......hehehe!

Not at all. Things are working out very well. And we're 26 billion less in the hole.

Spying had better not be an act of war, or most nations, including us, would be at war with just about everyone

You're right spying is not .. But I would question the assassinsion part sure doesn't help matters

No, these are the documents they DIDN'T spirit out. Just think what may have been in those!

We should help the Chechen terrorize the Russians. No more sympathy here.

Oh, that's evil.

I like it.

With all due respect, it's not as though we would have gotten the $26B back anyway. You can say Turkey is "less in the hole"--but we can say, with confidence, that we're not out another $26B.
