Waco vs Iraq

Posted on 04/12/2003 12:43:30 PM PDT by cd jones

Strange how the government doesn't want our flag to show in Iraq, but didn't mind it in Waco. Seems things are little bit backwards.

and military from outside of the United States

LOL!

The story originating out of 'Mt. Carmel' just gets more embelished with each telling!

At Mt. Carmel, the decision to eliminate the Branch Davidians because of the harm they were doing to the President's potential re-election, and his permission, via Janet (shakes) Reno was needed and given.

Which President?

Hadn't Xlintoon JUST gotten elected the previous year?

Wasn't MOST of the case already put together under George H. Bush against the Vernon Wayne Howell?

Did you just beam-in from some other time dimension?

(These 'stories' really *do* become more embellished every time they're told!)

Actually the correlation to Mt. Carmel and the fall of Baghdad is quite appropriate. It was an M-88 Tank Recovery Vehicle that gassed the Branch Davidians as well as pulling down the Saddam statue in Paradise Square.

And the flying of the flag over that vehicle when it destroyed evidence in Texas is in contrast to the temper applied to a young Marine when he flew the flag in Iraq for a brief moment.

Let's hope we never see the use of that military might on US soil again against Americans no matter what their transgression. The fabric of this country is just now repairing the damage made by the use of such force in a domestic role.

think what he meant to say was that those people died as a result of the selfish motives and actions of a very self-centered cult leader who didn't give a whit about the lives or spirituality of his followers ...

Now help me out here, are you talking about Koresh or Clinton?

If you're having trouble differentiating - then there is probably little or no difference ...

Your response is interesting. Are you willing to state that there were no Military Personnel,Military Equipment, Military advisors from outside the United States involved in the standoff at Mt. Carmel?

1) - yes, and had taken office ~ 1 month prior to the warrants being served.

2) - definitely. George H. W. Bush, that is.
