I clicked on someone's profile this morning, and noticed that John Robinson has updated their format.
I like it! Great job!
That is all. Please return to your regularly scheduled Freeping.

The percentage sizes would give you some flexibility would it not? It is basically setting a fraction of default size.
I have not used them in my limited experience. My brother and father are the Web-designers/programmers in the firm.
I checked some sites out and I found one dealing with CSS directly that was using font-size: em.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will try that.
I have been sending John screen shots of what I am seeing on my page. He says he increased the font size and it did help a little, but it still isn't the way it was before he made these changes.
This is the way I was seeing my page earlier today
This is the way it looks now that he has fixed it some. Still hard for me to read.

Man your WYSIWYG editor saves a lot of time and I can make posts that look cool and people think I am an HTML expert. lol
To: John Robinson
I've removed it before--and when the angry mob came after me with raised pitchforks I wisely chose to turn it back on.LOL Wise man indeed.
The only problem I really have with it is how it sometimes fosters some people to take a shortcut and bash the newbie--for being new--if they offer a lousy argument in a discussion. It's a lesser form of ad hominem I'd rather do without.
It would be better to have people bashed for the lousy arguments they post than have them bashed for being new in response to the lousy arguments they post.
Aw, John. Maybe it's the only kick they get out of life. They and the grammar cops should start their own thread....it would always be *perfect*...no newbies....perfect grammar.
(No, it would be better to have lousy arguments "bashed" and not the poster at all. But, c'est la vie--damn the French.)
Dittos!
Though I do recognize that signup date (and to a lesser degree the signup number) are useful for calling out the "subtle" variety of troll.
Reminds me....the screen-name is a bit large. No more complaints from me, enjoy your evening, John.
Maybe go to the FResno FReep, vent your frustrations, throw rocks at the Peaceniks. : )

Looks great!!
Now, if someone could just tell me how to post a picture, I'd be happy...

I tried the bullets to make a top 3 signs you are Freeper addict, but accidently hit "back." Oops, as I lost everything, but oh well. I have a new toy.

Yipes!
I think I'm going to implement theming very soon, most of the foundation has been laid, just need the brass fixtures. If nothing else, just to have several versions of the profile pages to try.

Really? My font is fine. In fact, what is it anyway? Century Gothic? I like the size and the style.

That has got to be a browser text size issue exaggerated by the em sizing.
The % is similar to em?
I think it does let itself be overridden much better by the browser (IE 5 and above).
If you set font size to 8em and then try and manually set text size in the browser to 'larger' or 'smaller', it magnifies or minimizes it to the extreme.
If the font size is set using %, then 'larger' just makes it a bit larger, and 'smaller' a bit smaller - much easier to fine tune.
I am thinking the issue is between the extreme nature of the em size and the browser text size the ladies are using????

Hi, Bella,
The font that was too small is "Tabitha" (it's the right size now), and the "Arial" font is still a tad large, but I guess I can live with it. (I have several different font faces throughout the page - those were the only two that were affected by the change) :)
