I do not care if they get the story wrong on occasion. I am a grown up, and have yet to see a news source that doesn't get it wrong, so always keep doubt in my mind when listening to, or reading anything.

I prefer a wrong breaking story to having to put up with endless innuendo, slanted and perjorative adjectives, and liberal bias. Fox doesn't engage in that anywhere near as much as the rest of them, therefore Fox is my source of choice.

Keeps the dogs calm. They get so upset when i scream at the TV set...

Probably just more depleted uranium shells left over from Gulf War I. </sarcasm >

Weapons Grade plutonium.

They can't make it.

There's not a doubt in my mind that they could have if they'd wanted to.

The Iraqi nuclear program at the time of Gulf War I was world class.

World Class.

We're not talking about a bunch of former grad students puttering around some underfunded lab. We're talking about top-flight scientists who know exactly what they're doing, and who have an effectively unlimited budget. Plutonium is not a surprise.

The last Gulf War probably set them back 5 or 10 years, that's all.

A lot of us where I work have been thinking for days that things were going "too easy", and we figured Saddam had at least a nuke or two laying about and was waiting for us to get in town, where he would detonate the nukes. Remember the comments about "Americans will burn at the gates of Baghdad" and "We will incenerate the Americans and Brits"? We took that to mean it was a serious nuclear threat. Who knows, perhaps there are still some nukes laying around and he just didnt get the chance to use them.

I'm no scientist, but can you identify weapons grade plutonium just by looking at it? Have they run any tests on it? Do they even have the ability to do that in the field? This all sounds very conjectural.

If you were a embedded reporter. You are in touch with locals. You would be in a hurry to put the story out as soon as you had some tangible evidence-testing HOT. You do put a disclaimer..not yet substantiated.

You could accuse all the media outlets of the same as your PoohPooh of FOXNews(as you sit here and read a FreeRepublic from your armchair thousands of miles from the scene).

FOX NEWS website headline: "Weapons Grade Plutonium Possibly Found in Iraq"

Just so that I may understand, "weapons grade" is redundant in the title in the sense that, with dirty bomb technology, any plutonium is weapons grade? Just that the weapon would be a dirty bomb, not a nuclear weapon delivered by missle?

Not being facetious -- seriously asking for guidance.

Fox is my source of choice.

Yep. They keep the liberal propaganda in perspective. They introduce them as liberals, so everyone knows their bias before they spew their venom. It's a good thing.

The question is what Fox does with the report after the embedded guy delivers it.

Real Journalism at CNN??? Oh like Rich Kaplan's totally fabricated "US USED CHEMICAL WEAPONS IN VIETNAM" report???

Please.

The ratings don't lie. Fox News is DESTROYING MSNBC, CNN in cable land. If they were one of the "big 3" they would destroy the other two also. Fair and Balanced and FAVORED because ONLY FOX does not take its news reporting orders from the Demonrat/World Socialist Party's Propaganda machine.

Americans who have been LIBERATED from the Press Puppet Pandering have voted with their feet.

The others are left only with their main tool - which they are quite skilled at using: RIDICULE!

My favorite station as well... But, they've mishandled aspects of this war (as it related to reporting) big-time.

Are you the guy in the new Compaq commercials, yelling at the computer screen? Or, do you limit your yelling at the TV? (;o)

Has the reporter read the IAEA reports on this facility to see if he saw anything they missed. The WaPost suggests this is all old news.

You misinterpreted what I was saying (maybe I didn't make myself clear). I was trying to anticipate what the media would say when ridiculing FOX as a sensationalist news program.

I would NEVER say a good thing about Clinton News Network.

I could care less about ratings. This isn't a "who's dick is bigger" contest, it's about real journalism. And in my humble opinion, I've found MSNBC has done the best job.

Also, I don't want to lend any credibility to CNN, but I believe the US did use chemical weapons as defoliators in the Vietnam War.

LOL! I never have to scram at my computer, cause I use a Mac...

But, I could resemble the guy on the Compq commercials if I watch CNN or MSNBC. And, i never watch network news... the dogs would take off into the next county!
