Sorry, I should have made it clear. I just saw it on CNBC, their reporter from Baghdad reported it live earlier.

Apon reading the latest posts list, the title of your post combined in my brain with the title of the post just under it to get:

First Free Baby born in Baghdad: "weapons grade plutonium"

I need to go get my eyes or my brain checked.

Yesterday, I was filling my husband in over the phone about what was going on and what I was seeing. Mostly, I was thinking (and, let's face it, gloating) that the scenes before me must be driving Bill Clinton nuts. Anyway, one of my comments was that I was pretty sure we were going to be seeing a lot of George(s) being born in Iraq. Seems to have taken one day for the first one.

Wonder if this is from the same story??

I wish I could remember where I got it. The subtitle said the soldier in the picture helped deliver the beautiful baby.

I haven't had time to read through this whole thread so I may be repeating information but yesterday while watching FoxCable news they cut to their reporter in Dearborn, Michigan several times during the day. Dearborn is home to the most Iraqis in the U.S. and they were having a day long celebration in the streets. While interviewing one Iraqi it was told that the man lost his job because he took the day off to celebrate. He said he did not care, that he would find another job, and went on to say he is so happy that he actually is changing his name...from "Ed" to "Bush". When the reporter asked him why he replied, "I love that man, he liberated Iraq. He is a great man!"

Why didn't they name him Jaque or Vladimir or Gerhard? oh yeah because they were against freeing the people of Iraq.

Is this story legit? You give the source as CNBC but link to a generic MSNBC page.

I saw a Kurdish woman on tv two weeks ago. She had a son named 'Dick Cheney' (the first Gulf war). She said if Bush succeeded in ousting Saddam she would name her next child after Bush.
