Your poems are so touching. We're glad you're eternally vigilant in reminding us of the need to continue in prayer. There is much work yet to be done.

I don't think we can overestimate the part that prayer has played in the victories so far. For all of us to let up now would be tragic.
One of the areas I think needs great attention is praying for our political leaders even more than ever. The decisions they have to make now are tough ones, and will have huge long-term implications.
The forces of evil are not going to let up in their attempt to cause us, and the Iraqi people, great harm.

Thanks for the kind words, by the way.

Mornin' y'all. Two Cents Thursday. Another great essay, John. How about a 2-fer? Loved your take on yesterday's events as well. :)
Poor ol Judy Woodruff. She should really quit eating lemons. They really don't enhance her "beauty." :)))
Just heard on the radio that Carol Channing is in town. She called the radio station and asked if she could be included in the 5,000 Flags program tonight. So she will be singing for the troops and their families tonight. It's gonna be a great night.
Check with y'all later...

You were just thinking?
Danger! Will Robinson! LOL!
Yes, I do feel a little better now than I did 6 months ago. I'm glad that we did go in there and now those good people of Iraq can now live lives free from a brutal dictator.

That is a great pic. There are so many good ones.
Earlier Thread of Iraq War Pics that Diogenesis posted!
Great pictures there of Iraqis being Liberated !!
Here are a couple, for example. The one on the right? "Beat it, Saddam !" . . .
In Umm Qasr, heroes AND Iraqis remove portraits of Saddam.
April 8th Thread of Iraq War Pics
DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH WAITING TO SEE THESE ELSEWHERE
In Basra, Iraqis are FREE.
They are happy and dancing - except where the European and American media
are pushing antiAmerican comments and then taping it - and skipping some of these pics.
Credit to Eternal Vigilance for this pic on the USO Canteen (#117):
The Fruit of the Resolute
"Great victories come only to those who never waver
No matter how loudly the enemies of freedom may mock
Who see the path of duty, and follow it to the very end
God bless our President on this day
He will be known forever as 'the Liberator of Iraq'!"

Hi Pippin....You've got a lot on your mind these days...Time for you and Lori to do another collaboration?
To: Billie
Good afternoon Billie. My pleasure, always, to do John's essay....
I could not believe that photo of John F. Kerry.....so mean looking....I personally cannot stand the man. And I hate that the media always refers to him as a hero of VietNam yet they rarely mention that when he came home from VietNam, he was a protester who threw his medals over the WH fence.
