Indeed -- or why they just didn't use the other side of the banner, if they just wanted to address the troops and not the human panty shields.

The first official Iraqi Freepers in Free Iraq.dk88..just perfect!

You didn't destroy your keyboard or monitor after reading DUh! did you?
Personally, I looked over there a handful of times (Can count it on one hand.) and what I saw made this former soldier want to break and smash things ala the Incredible Hulk.
Only without turning green and other such.
Think I was placated with chocolate or some other sugary object.. don't rightly remember what happened next.
But I didn't level my 'puter at all.
Good luck in controlling the 'fist of death'.

I was able to hold my lunch down, though I did feel a little ill.
I thought about registering, but I figured I would need a bath after each visit.

This was a post I found at DU.
6. not to sound heartless, but I never feel a twinge of sadness when I hear of missionaries being slaughtered in other countries (like last year in Indonesia, for example). What the hell do these people think they're getting themselves into? Some missionaries are so goddamned selfish, it makes me feel SICK!

That quote from the DU poster confirms to me that these protester types are not just protesting war, but are protesting life itself. I was once an angry young man who was looking for my own way to put the world on its head, but then I grew up.
Makes me wonder just what has happened to the Hollywood crowd. Obviously maturity isn't part of their experience.

Ugh.
Reminds me why I sprayed Lysol into the air the last time I went there...
I went there and saw a thread about how evil the military is.
(I was in field artillery.)
And was very tempted to flame the lot of them for their idiocy.
Someone else beat me to it.
Then I read another post there and found that no matter what I or anyone else said, they'd still see things their own twisted way and feel victimised by 'the man' for being exposed as idiots.

Instead of World Workers Party (C.A.N.S.W.E.R.'s "parent" group), they will henceforth be known as World Wankers Party.

I was once an angry young man .... "He who is not a liberal when young, does not have a heart.
He who is not a conservative when old, does not have a brain."
- Frances Fukuyama [I think]
(PS: Guess I've been all brain and no heart my entire life!)

I thought that quote was first attributed to Winston Churchill.

Let's just say some people have a desire for a fag after and leave it at that.

I wonder if some U.S. GI's made the banner and handed it to some Iraqis? Unlikely that the Marines would be using slang we never heard of. The "wankers" is what makes it so authentic. The term is bound to have a permanent place in the Freeper lexicon.

Okay, I must display my ignorance of the vernacular and ask, What does wanker mean?

I think I've fingured it out:
There were reliable stories of a BRITISH couple - BOTH "Human Shields" - who were yelling at the US Marines who had just entered the mall, freeing the Iraqi's.
The sign's letters "HUMAN SHIELD" are PRE-PRINTED (commercial art!) that an Iraqi couldn't do easily, but would be essential IF an Human Shield group wanted to "protect" themselves against US fire --- by hanging it outside a window, or by laying it on a rooftop, for example.
So, we've established that a couple of BRITISH liberals who hate Americans ARE present, would likely HAVE A SIGN with Human Shield printed on it; and who have already that morning been yelling at the troops and giving them verbal abuse.
Isn't it reasonable that THE BRIT's would hurriedly markup their own sign with BRITISH epithets and insults to the Americans, then take it the the mall to "protest?"
Further, an Iraqi citizen is not likely to know English, take it from the Brtit's (after they dropped it?), and then walk around showing off the sign - without realizing he's insulting the HUMANSHIELDS, not the Marines?

Thanks for posting this, I saw it on FOX this morning and looked for an hour trying to find it somewhere online. Yea!
