Keep the faith!
Dennis Miller |
Of course we have to profile people. We live in some weird time now where were all trying to convince each other that we shouldnt profile people. When 19 out of 20 people are from a certain country, and they blow up the two biggest buildings in your country, if you dont start looking at people who are visiting here from that country, youre not being open-minded. Youre being dead. Okay? We have got to get it together and understand that this country, people say its not the American way to infringe on civil liberties. Well its not the American way to rollover for punks either. Were got to start kicking ass on these people because they dont care about us. They live for one reason and one reason alone and that is to kill you and I. Theres no half way in the al Qaeda. Theres no al-Kindas, okay. These people just care about our demise. And you know something, the American Civil Liberties Union, when they come out and say you never profile anybody who gets on an airplane. I say we create a new airline, called the ACLA, the American Civil Liberties Airline where you dont check anybody, you dont ask any questions, and let those morons fly on that one, okay? The rest of us want to be protected. Guantanamo Bay, are these people being treated fairly? Lets be serious folks. Guantanamo Bay is about as far as our Western sensibilities will allow us to descend as far as putting a prison together. No, you know, its no joy ride, but, you know, that being said, if you put the Guantanamo Bay terrorist prison outside of Kabul it would be their Epcot. "I don't think he's a great man but how many great men come along in life? Great men are defined by the circumstances they're presented and I think he's doing a nice job. So you know the difference between Clinton and Bush to me is that Bush somehow has managed to turn off the 'wocka-wocka' 70s porno guitar of the Clinton administration. You know? Clinton looked presidential but he acted like a kid. Bush looks like a kid but so far he acts presidential and I like that about him. And I like the fact that he's hired- [interrupted again by applause] "-says he's gonna spend $13 billion on education, God knows we need it. If you think about it only one of the three 'r's actually starts with 'r.' On Sean Penn: I think that once its about to hit the fan, if you wanted to decry your leadership, youre more than welcomed to do so in the local town square. I would stay out of the country that youre about to business with. On France: Youd better gas up the dinghy and go fishing with Fredo, because you are dead to me. Dennis Miller, on the Tonight Show. Miller was on fire tonight. He said: If youre at a peace march, and the guy next to you has a sign saying Bush is Hitler, stop the peace stuff for a second and beat his ass. And he sent this message to Dubya: If youre watching, I think youre doing a hell of a job. Im proud youre my president. I think there are a lot more people out here on your side than you may think. "I would call the French scum bags, but that would be a disservice to bags filled with scum." Clintons the sort of guy wholl always volunteer to help you move, then when youve got four of ya picking up the sofa, hes the one wholl fake lifting. |

Simple logic tells you that if somebody wants you dead you have one course of action: To get them deader sooner. He approvingly proposed that if this had happened to the Russians, about three major cities in the Middle East would have been parking lots in twenty minutes." "Now, of course, I think the President is doing an extraordinary job. Its a good thing Im not President because I would have just [motioned hand to press a button launching missiles] launched. Okay, Im sorry, I just would have. But our President and I just, I love George Bush right now and I always have. Im the only guy in LA who voted for him [audience applauded]. And I have to tell you the way hes handling it is very deliberate, very careful and so on and doing the right thing." "If they harbor terrorists, we should wipe them off the face of the Earth. Eventually, one of these terrorist diaper-heads is going to come around and do something more horrible." William Morris Agency

Bruce Willis |
The Die Hard star believes A-list stars such as Sean Penn, George Clooney and Martin Sheen, who plays a US president in political drama The West Wing, are reluctant to speak out in favour of military action. Bruce Willis, star of the Die Hard trilogy among other top box office features, phoned the White House to offer his services in the War Against Terror and Saddam Hussein. Sadly he was told that the cut-off for enlisting for active duty is 34 years of age. William Morris Agency

3 Doors Down |
"Not all rockers are anti-war morons. 3 Doors Down did a tour of the carriers and bases in the Gulf last October. They filmed on the tour with lots of shots of the troops aircraft and ships...their video of "when I'm Gone" is very cool. Click here to play the video (note:streaming video requires a media player) Visit the 3DD website for their photo gallery of the tour and send a message to the troops.

Kid Rock |
At a pre-Grammy party, Kid Rock answered a reporter's question about the War in Iraq, and made it clear that he isn't part of the music industry's anti-war faction. "Why is everybody trying to stop the war? George Bush ain't been saying, 'You all, make sh*#%y records.' Politicians and music don't mix. It's like whiskey and wine. We ought to stay out of it."

Fred Thompson |
"Thank goodness we have a president with the courage to protect our country," Thompson says in a 30-second TV commercial he filmed supporting President Bush's Iraqi policy. He said the ad may begin airing Monday in Washington, D.C., and New York. Thompson, who retired from the Senate in 2002 and returned to his previous career as an actor, plays a district attorney on NBC's drama "Law & Order." Friends and supporters paid for the commercial, Thompson said. The former member of the Senate Intelligence Committee said he's been increasingly concerned about threats to national security. "I think the president is pursuing the right policy. ... It's something I feel rather strongly about and it seems like so much publicity, so many ads, are being taken out attacking the president, attacking the policy," he said.

Whoa... big time POISON bump.
(sarcasm, but still cool that he's giving his support)
I don't think so.

HOLLYWOOD, October 13, 2000 -- Call him Gary Oldman, political analyst-cultural police.
The titular co-star of "The Contender," set to open this very night, has opened fire on the film in the newest issue of Premiere magazine, according to a report by Mr. Showbiz.
The character actor, British by nationality and a conservative Republican by choice, is blasting DreamWorks, the studio behind "The Contender," for manipulating it into a pro-Democrat film.
Specifically, Oldman says that DreamWorks, because of the Democratic leanings of the studios' top brasses (that's Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg), had forced writer-director Rod Lurie to change the script to suit their political beliefs.
"There's no indication to me whatsoever that Rod [Lurie] ever felt pressured," DreamWorks spokesman Walter Parkes told Premiere.
"One only has to look at the coverage of the [Democratic] convention to see that the owners of this company have sympathies with the Democratic Party.
Did those sympathies enter into the editorial process ... or the decision to buy the movie?
Unequivocally, no." With that, the battle rages on.
Interesting that (conservative republican) Oldman's first splash was playing doomed Punk Rocker Sid Vicious.
Phew! I'm glad to see that Iodanza didn't become a pansy ass out there on the left coast.
Ted Nugent --> Is anyone surprised by this name being on the list? I didn't think so...
Johnny Mathis --> At least I won't have to throw out any of my Johnny Mathis albums...
Jim Neighbors --> I take back all those sick jokes about him and Rock Hudson. Really.
Tiger Woods --> A celebrity, definately; a Hollywood personality, no. But, I'm extremely happy to see him come out 100% behind both the PRESIDENT and the troops, no equivicating, no ambiguity. God bless him.
It would have been nice to see some more names of people under the age of 60 on this list, but I'm grateful for what support there is.
Gosh, I might even have to drop my "BOYCOTT HOLLYWOOD" mantra...(just kidding!)
Now, how about a list of all those celebrities OPPOSED to Bush & the war in Iraq? Just post a link if there already is one. Here, I'll get it started:
Ethan Hawke (sp?)
Umma Thurman (sp?)
Martin Sheen
Pearle Jam (sp?)
....
I've never seen that video before...what's Buzz doing to that guy, and why?
(Sep. 9, 2002) Bart Sibrel, a conspiracy theorist who believes that NASA faked the moon landing, confronted retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin on September 9, 2002. "You're a coward," he exclaimed, "and a liar, ..."
At that point, Aldrin (age 72) landed a spirited punch to Sibrel's jaw.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has declined to file charges.
