Speer spent the remainder of his life in solitary confinement in Spandau prison. "Prosper" isn't the word that trips off my tongue.

Speer spent the remainder of his life in solitary confinement in Spandau prison. Actually, he was sentenced to 20 years and was released in 1966. He died in 1981.

Speer spent the remainder of his life in solitary confinement in Spandau prisonActually Speer spent 20 years, got out in 1966, and published his memoirs "Inside the Third Reich". His "Spandau Diaries" is an interesting look at his time in prison, which can only be described as incredibly boring. He died in 1981, supposedly "in action" with his mistress. Rudolf Hess was the only one who served a life term.

Speer only got 20 years...he lived quite a few outside of prison afterwards...wrote two books.
