BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - Iraq's information minister Monday denied U.S. troops had stormed Baghdad, declaring: "Be assured Baghdad is safe, secure and great." "They are sick in their minds. They say they brought 65 tanks into center of city. I say to you this talk is not true. This is part of their sick mind," Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf said. "There is no presence of American infidels in the city of Baghdad at all."
Sahhaf, at a rooftop news conference amid a crowd of foreign reporters, said amid sirens and clouds of dusts that Saddam Hussein's forces had given invading coalition forces "poison and bitterness."
"Their forces committed suicide by the hundreds. ... The battle is very fierce and God made us victorious. The fighting continues," he said. "Yesterday, we slaughtered them and we will continue to slaughter them."
Sahhaf said coalition forces pushed one of the armored carriers and tanks into the city and "we killed most of them and we will get of rid of them soon. Baghdad will be their graveyard."
Reacting to reports that the U.N. Security Council was to meet Monday, he called on the United Nations to denounce the war "before the United Nations becomes a place for prostitution under the feet of the Americans."

I hate to tell him this, but the United Nations is already a place of prostitution - literally and figuratively!

On Fox, Greg Kelly was interviewing a soldier in front of Saddam's palace.
Greg asks "The Info minister doesn't believe you're here, what do you say". Soldier says "Well, he's right across the street from here, we'll go talk to him.""

Next time he is on I want to see our soldiers walk up to him with a straight jacket and while they take him away he will still be screaming, They a not here...they are liers, we have killed them..
He is on the looney side no doubt. Maybe from all the blows to the head that Saddam had inflicted on him.

(Were it not for the braveā¦there'd be no land of the free.)
On FOX, they had a split-screen. On the left was Baghdad Bob saying the troops were being wiped out. On the right was video of US troops blowing up a statue of Sodomy Insane riding a horse.
Those guys at FOX have a great sense of humor!

Col. David Hunt on Fox said that will be the LAST time this doofus goes on TV to taunt our troops. If he ever shows his mug on the tube again, we can rest assured our troops will fire rounds over his head just to provide a rebuttal.

Baghdad Bob's BS is sad, but you know what's even sadder? What's even sadder is that DUers probably believe his BS, and think the US is covering up its defeat at Iraqi hands.

Sahhaf, at a rooftop news conference amid a crowd of foreign reporters While the Fox split-screen was running, too bad our Predator didn't whack BB with an unarmed Hellfire!..(I really wanted a GAU-8 burst from an A-10, but he supposedly was holding a press conference...) However, since all the unbiased reporters (other than Sky News) have already been driven from Iraq, I personally don't view that as much of a loss...
IMHO, we should keep a "Baghdad Bob Special" Predator ready to launch out at Baghdad International Airport -- just in case BB decides to hold another rooftop lying session...
I have over a dozen video tapes of the war, but tonight's Fox coverage is the prize of the lot. The other coverages are not even second rate by comparison with Fox News!!!

Personally, I'd like to see our guys put together a detachment of troops to wait until his next broadcast. The minute he starts ranting, they would go in and capture or kill him right in front of the cameras.

You got that right!!LOL They finally started removing the banner at the bottom when it inteferes with the picture.
Watching BB, I said the same thing about an airstrike on live TV, then told Mrs Hb that it would never happen because of the reporters being there.
Her reply:
"I hope there's one of our snipers in the area!"
How could I not love this woman?

If only. I watched the new SNL last night and all they could come up with was a Saddam skit. It had a few moments(and I stress a FEW and MOMENTS) of humor but it wasn't advanced at all. They've had two weeks to develop their Baghdad Bob material and so far they've blown it.
When you can't even make a funny Saddam Hussein skit, you're in trouble.
