Talking head says this is great news, shows Iraq is working in uncoordinated, small pockets, unable to even consider using chemical weapons.

Breaking News Nazis are soooo tiring.
To: Gamecock
I would say that the threat to our troops is probable higher from heat exhaustion at this time then from WMD.

I'd be really glad to get out of one of these in 90+ degree weather:
click.

True, but you don't order your troops out of them unless the threat is low, even if it's 110 degrees.

This is hughly series!
To: Gamecock
Why are they doing this after the incident earlier?
To: Gamecock
Agree. Did anyone see that drone flying over Baghdad? Man, that was scary! It could be shot down so easily....probably by a poor farmer with a rifle.

Thanks to the so-called peace niks, and anti-American UN. I have been worried about it being too hot, and now they are talking about a water shortage for some of the troops.

I heard a reporter on the radio yesterday say that the batallion he was with was pretty much out of water. How can this happen? I wish I could give them some of mine...I got plenty!

Is this just a routine thing, that the suits are ordered on and off five times a day, or is this a big change in policy?

Because of the heat-retaining layers in the suits soldiers must "air out" one hour minimal per 24 if casualties from heat exhaustion are to be minimized. As standard procedure this is yet another case of "journalists" attempting to create news out of things they don't understand.

... but you don't order your troops out of them unless the threat is low, even if it's 110 degrees. You're right, and what this does mean is that there is no central command for the Iraqis. There are idiots doing suicide charges in cars, and Republican Guard members running around in pickups with machine guns. The only thing left of any Iraqi government is Baghdad Bob, doing his incredible lying act. It's time to bring the curtain down, and it is going.
There is evidence of WMD, but it would appear that the dummies didn't know what to do about it.

What is MOPP? Can we give a little more "meat" to news items?
