The librarians just can't imagine the chaos that will ensue!!! They are opening pandora's box!

Write your local librarian and demand that this stop!

Anyone care to explain, or is this a moose thread?

Feet-first or head-first?
When I was a kid, they would just hush us...

Why don't you just go ahead and post every other damned link on Drudge while you're at it.

I have absolutely no idea what this is about, and I'm outraged!

I'm thinking that this is the Boston Tea Party for weenies, or it's the Alamo for lesbians. Either way it seems inconsequential to me.

If shredders are good enough for the Clintons, they ought to be good enogh for the masses.

This would be a good time to think of what a Clinton/Reno adminstration would do with the broad powers the FBI has under the Patriot Act.
(shudder)
Remember, all laws are double-edged swords. Shredders are a good thing in this case.

Good idea. Borrow and forget if the book is returned as agreed.

Having worked refrence I think I know what it's about. Internet users must sign up for the computers. There is a sheet for each computer so the librarian knows who is on which computer. This is to ensure the person is on for only their alloted time. I would imagine it is these sheets that are bein shredded.

When I was a kid, they would just hush us... Hmmm... Headmasters can be worse:
"Who said that?? If the culprit doesn't step forward, I'll be forced to cancel Christmas and burn selected boys!"

LOL! You beat me to it. I guess the librarians support Saddam's use of shredders, too.

So this is just some "journalist" raking muck? While Library Sciences are pretty pink taken as a group I have seen nothing unusual out of my city's. Checking out conservative books often elicits possitive comments and whispered sympathies. The Liberals really are stifling ideas on their side.

This is what Drugdge finds to get excited about today? How shallow, if so.
