The people in Panama are also worried about her because she is also a Panamanian citizen.

Yes, I did. It's an image I am having a hard time getting out of my mind. I want to see her again, smiling.

The father who lost his son and held up a picture of that son for President Bush to "take a good look at" also made a later statement. In that statement he was less emotional and was proud of his son and that he died while fighting for his country. The father did not mean his emotional statements to be taken as anti war or anti the president.

I often think of and pray for these POW's and the anguish that their families are going through. Shoshana's face always comes to mind, and I pray that she can find strength in her faith to help her through this ordeal.

As a matter of fact, this thread should be renamed with all of their names.

Yes, I have been praying a lot for Shoshana, too. For some reason, I feel really worried about her in particular.

Someone remarked on another thread that many of us have sort of a "favorite" POW, someone we think about a lot who really represents them all for us. I think Shoshanna is the face that struck many of us, she looked so drawn with fear but obviously doing her best to remain calm and cautious. I also often think of the dark-haired pilot who looked so determined not to show fear, and the hispanic looking young man-- very young-- with cuts on his face. I hope every day that this will be the day we find them, alive.

So do I. They all looked so scared - and so young. I know our guys are looking hard for them.

Hopefully, as you must know by now, Shoshana has been rescued alive.

I just thought I'd bump this thread in case you hadn't heard.

You were right. I was so happy when I learned of their safe return. But I must say I was pre-occupied with Shoshana Johnson because she is a woman. Maybe the prayers from this post helped a little though. I would like to think that.
