Do you realize the implications and the pure horror we are going to find after 30 years of the monster.

Sorry to say it, but this was not unexpected to anyone with a smattering of knowledge about the atrocities that are committed by Stalinist/totalitarian states. They HAVE TO to keep control of the population.
There will be worse to come when we are in full control of the country.
I hope we ship Jacques Chirac to Iraq and make him bury the bodies.

CIA estimates for Iraqi dead are anywhere from 25k to 100k.
There were wet and rainy days at the beginning of the war.
Since then its been basically warm/hot.
Decay can be accelerated by such weather. And flies/maggots and other nasty crawlycritters.
One thing is for sure, if there are near anywhere that amount of dead, we need to get cleanup crews working hard. Lotta nastiness, disease etc with that many corpses about.

Hundreds of human remains found in makeshift morgue
05/04/2003 - 10:29:59 am
Hundreds of human remains were today discovered in a makeshift morgue by British soldiers in southern Iraq.
The skulls and bundles of bone in strips of military uniform, were dumped in plastic bags and unsealed hardboard coffins in an abandoned Iraqi military base on the outskirts of Al Zubayr.
It was impossible to say how long the remains had lain there but the grim discovery will now be investigated by forensic specialists as possible evidence of atrocities perpetrated by the Iraqi regime.

Hundreds of human remains found in makeshift morgue
Hundreds of human remains have been discovered in a "makeshift morgue" by British soldiers in southern Iraq.
The skulls, bundles of bone in strips of military uniform, were dumped in plastic bags and unsealed hardboard coffins in an abandoned Iraqi military base on the outskirts of Al Zubayr.
It was impossible to say how long the remains had lain there but the discovery will now be investigated by forensic specialists as possible evidence of atrocities perpetrated by the Iraqi regime.
The coffins were stacked five deep in a warehouse, and a neighbouring building contained apparent cells and catalogues of photographs of the dead, most of whom had died from gunshot wounds to the head.
Others were mutilated beyond recognition, their faces burned and swollen in the faded black and white photographs.
Outside stood what one soldier described as "a purpose-built shooting gallery".
A tiled foot-high plinth stood in a courtyard, with the brickwork behind it riddled with bullets.
Behind that lay a drainage ditch.
Inside the warehouse, one of the bags and coffins contained an identity card written in Arabic, while military webbing and boot soles were visible in others.

Place looks very dry and unused for sometime.
To: Stopislamnow
I've just seen the report on SkyNews. The place looks pretty neat, the bodies are in bags + coffins. It's not a cesspit, it looks very dry. No sign of blood stains on the floor or anything like that.
Reporter says UK troops found documentation (lists of names) and a catalog of photos of the bodies - it looks like many of them were executed with a shot to the head. Also stated that the bodies pre-date the current war (not sure how they would know that).

Sometime meaning months, maybe a year but not run down like a decade would cause.

What kind of bodies? Civilians? Iraqi soldiers? Prisoners?
I fear what we find may resemble in ways what the GIs in Europe discovered as they raced towards Berlin.
