Thousands of Palestinians in Gaza, West Bank march in support of Iraq
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
Thousands of Palestinians took to the streets of Gaza and the West Bank on Friday after Muslim prayers, chanting in support of Saddam Hussein and warning President George W. Bush that "Islam's fighters" would defeat him.
About 2,000 supporters of the militant Islamic Hamas group marched from Gaza City's main mosque to the city center waving Iraqi and Palestinian flags and carrying green Hamas banners. Hamas has carried out dozens of attacks that have killed hundreds of Israelis.
Carrying two coffins - one with the words U.N. Security Council on it and the other with Arab League - the crowd chanted "Bush listen very well, the Islam fighters will send you to hell."
"God willing, Baghdad will be the graveyard of the invaders," Hamas spiritual leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin told the crowd.
In other parts of Gaza, about 1,000 Palestinians marched in the Khan Younis refugee camp and another 2,000 took to the streets of Nusseirat refugee camp to show their support for Iraq.
In the West Bank city of Nablus, about 1,500 Palestinians burned Israeli, American and British flags, as well as effigies of Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

Well it is Friday and they are unemployed with nothing to do. So why not act like Amerikan peaceniks and march??
To: Asher
Just like leftists. March and march and march and hold up traffic. Its a pointless exercise. A MILLION (supposed) protesters marched in Britain and did it influence Blair? No -- and they were voters!
The right thing will be done -- protests be damned.

I hope Israel doesn't have to cut these people welfare checks. Or do our UN dues take care of that?

Not surprised by the palis action. They even cheered the murderers of 911. Still think the islamic world should merge these yahoos back into their own culture. The palis fit perfert in the culture of Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Pakistan. However, they don't fit carving up Israel to give these terrorists their own country when Jordan, the true palestine, is next door.

Send them down the road to Bagdad --I'm sure we have a few bombs left for them.
To: Calpernia
I believe those green flags are Hamas flags.

Very true.. As if cheering and having a street party on September 11th was not enough to outrage us.. These people are no better than Saddam. They are murderers and thieves and lovers of terror. I have some land for them, it is at the bottom of the ocean.
