Mass Deportation of Muslim Illegal Aliens ruled out

Tuesday, February 18, 2003

The Bush administration has rejected the prospect of mass deportations of Muslim illegal aliens.

The administration plans to relay this message to American Muslim leaders amid the current nationwide alert for an Al Qaida attack. Hundreds of Muslims have been detained as illegal aliens as part of a crackdown by federal law enforcement authorities, Middle East Newsline reported.

On Tuesday, FBI Director Robert Mueller will meet American Muslim leaders to discuss federal measures against Al Qaida threats. Muslim groups have filed a class action suit against the government, charging that the Immigration and Naturalization Service has arrested Muslims illegally.

Muslim groups said the millions of Muslims in the United States have been the target of a backlash since the Al Qaida suicide attacks on New York and Washington in September 2001. They said at least 15 Muslims and a Sikh have been killed in attacks around the country.

Officials said Mueller plans to discuss the attacks on Muslims as well as policy toward illegal aliens. They said this will include a law passed over the last year that requires citizens from many Arab and Islamic nations to register with the INS. The procedure also includes photographing and fingerprinting.

Muslim groups have expressed concern that the law will result in the detention and deportation of hundreds of thousands of Arab and Islamic immigrants who arrived illegally or whose visas have expired. The Alliance of Iranian Americans, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, the Council on American Islamic Relations, and the National Council of Pakistani Americans have asked a federal court to issue an injunction to prevent the prospect of mass arrests.

But officials said the administration plans to reassure Muslim groups that special procedures enacted over the last year will be limited to those immigrants regarded as security threats.

Nothing.

But that's not the question, the question is, who's interest does it serve to not throw all illegal aliens, especially Muslims, out of this country?

It could actually be worse than a jihad.

We could become so afraid of what the more zealous Moslems might do that we become like France.

I'm sorry. I messed up. France was already cowardly before the Moslems reached a critical mass there. If it wasn't Moslems to be scared of and cave in to, it would have been something else to be scared of and cave in to.

Actually, the Hispanics are sure to save the US from being overrun by Moslems. There is no way we will ever have enough Moslems here to outrun the Hispanics' immigration rate and birth rate, and hispanics do not convert to Islam in large numbers, at least they haven't in the last 800 years or so.

Our leaders seem to determined to overlook, for the sake of political correctness, the people responsible for 9-11. This IS insane.

I have come to the conclusion that CAIR is pushing not for "equal rights" for Muslims, but for a privileged status that sets them above the law and above suspicion of any kind, even of crimes for which there is ample evidence.

In other words, they want privileges for Muslim illegals and criminals that ordinary citizens can not expect for themselves.

But not the Mexicans. Oh great. But better Aztlan than Greater Arabia?

This is the New World Order...You ever hear of countries being referred to as countries any more??? They are called "states"...States of the World...

Our sovereignty is gone...The united States (plural) is now the United States (singular) which is a "state" of the World...

There aren't any "illegal" aliens any more...They are all "undocumented" aliens...It is not illegal to be undocumented...You only need to be "documented"...

You no longer have any control over your government...Your government has control over you...With the Patriot Act and the new Homeland Security Agency, we have a done deal...

A New World Order...You've heard the Clintons and Bushs rave about it...

Here's what you do to make it fair - round up ALL illegal aliens in the country, regardless of nationality, and deport them. Whoever is here illegally should be deported because they are breaking the law.

As I have repeatedly said, on 9/12/2001 we should have revoked the visas of all Muslim immigrants and then deported the illegals.

So have I. It's just absolutely mind-boggling why this was not the first order of action in the wake of 9/11. Now the administration announces it will not even deport Muslims that are here ILLEGALLY. This is beyond belief and another reason why the so-called Homeland Security Dept. is a world class JOKE. Our government apparently would rather expose its citizens to the horrors of terrorism than to offend the subversive Cult of Islam, which is hell-bent on our destruction. Incredible. Is Grover Norquist behind this?

If this was done, which it will be when amoebae sprout peacock feathers and play the tuba in Central Park, then a large part of the population of the city I live in (Salinas, CA) would disappear.

I was involved in a minor traffic accident a while back. The other party and I, tired of waiting for the cops to show up, went to the police station to file a report. The officer expressed his amazement, stating that about 80% of the accidents around Salinas are hit/run on both sides because the parties involved are all illegals driving without benefit of license or registration. He was so taken aback he didn't issue either of us a ticket, BTW.

Is there anything we can do about illegals? It just seems so hopeless.

But that's not the question, the question is, who's interest does it serve to not throw all illegal aliens, especially Muslims, out of this country?

WEll, for the Mexicans it serves the businesses that are employing them while we subsidize their living. It then serves the politicians, in this instance mainly Republicans, because these employers give large contributions to the politicians to keep them in power.

But I will tell you folks what - I am taking names here. There are some posters on this site that will have you tarred and feathered for speaking dispargingly of the President, of a Muslim, or of any immigrant.

I you are against illegal immigration you are just an unintellectual, ignorant, unenlightened, hateful, biggotted, boorish, (stamping my foot) bad person!!!

In the press briefing they announced that President Bush would be meeting next week with leaders from South America. He stated SA was 'peaceful and democratic' (?). I wonder if this is a beginning of the talks to form the 'trading union' in the Western Hemisphere?

I cannot come up with a reason for protecting the Muslims, but PResident Bush has been doing it publicly since 9/11. He has given so much freedom to the Muslims and taken so much from us.

"What is it about illegal that is misunderstood?"

Translation= any law that threatens to cost me votes is not to be enforced.

Yep, that's it. The Beltway Party (republicans + democrats) has quite a racket going. They have made it next to impossible for 3rd parties to scale up into a serious competitive threat thus forcing the electorate to choose their evil (poison). So the major swing factor in elections today has come down to how much of immigrant/minority vote each party can garner by shameless pandering (the Rats are the smart ones here).

There will be no fundamental change on the pressing issues of immigration and trade until, somehow, some way a 3rd Party manages to break through and catch fire with the majority of Americans. And given the rising tide of immigrants pouring into our country it get's harder every year. Batten Down the Hatches...

I'd settle for a mass conversion to Christianity, along with deporting all wahabi immams and the conversion of existing mosques to Baptist churches.

WE are the voters that put them in power. Let them know that WE can also vote them OUT of power.

We obviously haven't had enough casualties here at home yet.

When the numbers exceed 150,000 or so, we may get some action. Not before. Our politicians are more afraid of offending Muslims than taking care of national security, or even the immigration laws of this country.
