Are they serious? Hundreds of thousands of Arabs and Muslims are here illegally?

Enough is enough. We should launch a campaign to demand these illegals be deported in accordance with the law as well as anyone who harbored them.

They lie and cheat and deceive and wonder why Americans don't want them in this country?

yes, they do. I recently read somewhere that young Mexican men in America are converting en masse (like tens of thousands). I think I read this on the American Muslim Council Web site.

This is about my only beef with President Bush. IMHO he is every bit as much a "kiss-up" to illegals as any democrat I know of. Sadly, when it comes right down to it, maintaining ones own power is always first and foremost in the minds of politicians.

Exactly - they should be deported, and now.

However, I can understand not doing it right now for security reasons. Such a move would pour gasoline on the fires of the Muslim 'rage' Better to do it when the war is over and an Iraqi gov't is installed.

If that happens, be prepared for an onslaught of the usual accusations. In fact, if I were Bush, I'd wait until my second term. (assuming there is one)

It is absolutely mind boggling. For several years now we see it here on Long Island. People complain that we have day laborers, many whom are illegals, gathering on the road or in parking lots of retail establishments. What is the answer from the politicians? They build facilities so they can still wait for work without disrupting the community. This is like bizzaro world.

Pardon me, but it already has. John Lee Malvo was in the custody of the Border Guard as an illegal immigrant. The INS let him go, despite the fact that their own policy handbook says that illegals who came to this country in the way that he did should be immediately deported. He went on to kill 10 and injure 9 before being caught.

There's your problem in a nutshell. Everybody wants to round up the illegals, but nobody wants the daily invasive body cavity searches, Illegal Immigrant road blocks, bar sweeps and national I.D. cards that might catch a few of them. Nobody wants an amnesty, which would put EVERYBODY who is above board habitating here on the record. Nobody wants to do nuthin'. But there is a groundwell of those who would bitch about Arabs if they could bitch about Mexicans too.

If the U.S. Congress passed a bill tomorrow that gave legal resident status to EVERY person within our borders ... there would no longer be an illegal immigrant population, right? No illegals! Your problems are over, you are on easy street! Everybody's legal! Woo hoo!
