Please pray for my dad. He is having triple by-pass surgery tomorrow morning. He's being a real trooper and says he's not nervous. Prayers are helping already. My Mom is really scared I believe. They have had 57 years together and neither of them is ready to stop at 57. They have a real love for each other.
Thanks for the prayers my fellow freepers!

I, too, will certainly pray. For what it is worth, I am a cadiothoracic anesthesiologist, and this surgery is certainly major, but it also is pretty safe. I pray that your father's health is restored and that his convalescence is complete and short...

My prayers are with you.
If it makes you feel any better, my mom had a bypass done at age 80 and she's find 8 years later...

Thank-you so much for the prayers, everyone.
He is so relaxed, he's sitting in the hospital watching Fox News.
To: republicangel
Prayers on the way up for you and yours.

I pray your dad is comforted and that God is with the surgeons as they operate on your dad. I pray for a full and speedy recovery and finally I pray that God comforts your Mom and gives her strength. Amen.
I went through this in 1992.

Prayers are on their way for your dad & your family. Modern medicene is making mega-leaps darn near daily. Put your faith in the LORD and know the doctors will do their best. I was freaking when my dad had his. We saw him immediately after surgery and I thought there was no way he could make it, that afternoon he walked down the hall at Wash. Med Center. He did just fine & I'm praying your dad will too! Stay STRONG!

Prayers for your dad! My parents just had their 51st and my Dad is dying from Leukemia. The chemo won't work. Your dad's situation sounds more hopeful. I know how much it means when people pray. I'll be praying.

May the Lord's strength and comfort be with each member of your family. May His wisdom be given the doctors who care for your dad. His mercies endure forever.

I will certainly pray for your Dad and the Medical team. May the good Lord guide them all.
Let us know how he is doing and when he is back on Fox to catch up on the honest news.
And ---- please give your Mom a hug from us.

Take comfort, knowing modern cardiac medicine is highly advanced. These triple by-pass thingies are just a plumbing job these days. And the results are usually great. Your Dad's gonna feel a whole lot better soon.
To: republicangel
Consider it done. My prayers and POSITIVE thoughts for a full and speedy recovery for your dad. You are right..57 years is NOT long enough...I wish them many, many more wonderful and healthy years together.
