Thank-you so much for the prayers, everyone.
He is so relaxed, he's sitting in the hospital watching Fox News.

I had an Uncle who went through triple by pass in the early 80's- when it was still very risky. He lived another 20 years (and would have lived longer if he quite drinking and smoking like his doctors said.) Don't worry. From what I know now a triple by pass is serious but almost always successful. I will pray for your dad.

I will certainly keep your Dad in my prayers.
My mother had bypass surgery less than a year ago and is doing well - says she feels 20 years younger.
My father-in-law (in his 80's) had quintuple bypass surgery last summer. He's doing great, too. Prayers offered by FReepers were a comfort to my family, and were very powerful medicine.
I'll pray for your mother, also, that she be given strength to get through this frightening event. May your parents share at least 57 MORE glorious years.
