If the lights are off, and not our doing..it could be coming from s coup type thing (I don't know what it's called)
or...could we be getting set-up? They know we have NVG's, so why would they cut the lights? or am I paranoid?

by the way quote of the day "It's a great day to be alive, unless you're an Iragq RG soldier" GWB

Hey, the Rummy poetry is pretty good. Here is the best one (IMHO):

The Unknown

As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don’t know
We don’t know.

The people down south said their sons were taken and forced to fight. Maybe those flocking to the south are returning to those families. I'm sure we'll be able to tell by the intermingling and also, we've made a few friends down there who will give us info.

AmericanInTokyo on the Yokohama bombing thread:

small stuff.

usual crude launcher found by citizens. citizens heard two explosions.

launchers (two) were hot and smoking, and were on the grounds of an elementary school

It is our doing...but we don't want to say that because it was undoubtedly done by our Special Forces in Baghdad. Keep them guessing. You will not hear the truth about this kind of operation from CentCom over international media -- for darn good reason.

Our SF guys will get constant cover.

Urrp. Bill Clinton is speaking here in my very own Gainesville tonight. Time for a major exorcism.

Neal Boortz is speaking in two weeks, however, so maybe that will do the trick!

NTV Babe: We have...ah...five generators?....Ah....That's enough......

Hee, hee. 5 little generators went up one day, over the desert and far away. Mullah Sabri said, light, light, light. But only 4 little generators came on.

Here's the "are we being drawn in?" question again.

Don't they ever get tired of asking the same thing. Or do they just not listen to the answers?

ReporterMoron: Sir, we have control of the oil fields in the south. What about the oil fields in the North?

Response: We, along with the British and Kurds, have it up under control.

When the lights come back on in Baghdad, we'll be looking at great big tanks alllll over Bagdhad.

Takoma will be sunning himself in the Euphrates with an Iraqi dolphin named Portland.

Bill Gates will have opened up shop on The GWB Esplenade.

Saddam's pictures on all the buildings will have been replaced with Laurie Dhue.

A press release confirms:

Jessica Lynch has been named the Mayor of Baghdad.

Col. David Hunt will be in charge of Iraq until further notice.

Major Bob Bevelacqua has captured France without a shot being fired.

And finally, this just in.

President George W. Bush has had it with the nutcases in the media and has taken control of the three major networks, CNN and MSNBC.

Roger Ailes has been named TV Czar.

Yes, it's very good but it's found poetry. Found Poetry isn't poetry. It is a collection of bits of text. They have that something that makes them unique, and they work as standalone poems. I like it.

They are going to keep asking the same questions until they get an answer they can use, or until the question becomes so stupid everyone will realize it.

I think that second part is a gauge of just how stupid they think people are.
