You are a pinhead. You are so short-sighted and stuck on your viewpoint that you just said SHE IS NOT A HERO. How wrong can you be? They are all heroes you sexist pig.

They are all heroes. I agree.

The Rangers and Seals who rescued her were also just doing what they were trained to do, there not "Heros" anymore than Jessica. They are just very good at what they do. Don't get me wrong...I love those guys.. but c'mon, reality check here... THEY LOVE THAT SH*T! It gets them pumping! They would drink adrenaline straight from the can if they could. Those guys would go crazy as hell in a supply company handing out MRE's. True True True. I was simply trying to give credit where credit it due. :)

Don't ever piss off a woman with a rifle. Jessica Lynch to enemy soldiers: "I have PMS and a rifle! Oh, excuse me, did you have something to say?"

death is welcomed over torture. Well, that is one way out.... but there sure are an awful lot of former prisoners or victims of torture who who amazingly enough, are glad to have survived.

I have no doubt the female members of my family could be extremely effective in taking out bad guys if my home was invaded. The question is, would I want her to HAVE to do that? And despite their effectiveness, might the male members of my family be even more effective, and suffer less injury? Well stated. Thanks.

You do know that "Courage Under Fire" was fiction and there was no woman involved in an incident even similar to that during Desert Storm. What was Courage Under Fire about?
I have read She Went to War, The Rhonda Cornum Story, about the woman POW in Gulf War I.

Jessica will never run out of ammunition. Nor will she ever run out of patriots supporting her.
I only hope when Hollywood wants to sign her up for a movie entitled "Saving Private Lynch" that she insists that some of her real saviors play parts - and that the screen play be dead accurate - no Hollywood phony drama.....only real life heros that we know are legitimate!!!

Putting things in perspective was what I was trying to do. I'm sorry you misinterpreted that.

A real kick-ass doll-baby! Only in America. God bless you Jess, we love you.

Your guestimates are pretty much what I was thinking - they have a weapon for defense purposes. Wow! What a brave lady.
To: WVNan
Hi WVNan. Yes, I am a very proud West Virginian. Even more so today, because of Jessica.
Learning to shoot and handle a gun was not only prudent it was a necessity. We lived so far out that we relied upon our own resources for protection. I actually had my first experience at shooting at an intruder at the age of 12 (I didn't hit him...just fired warning shots). Not an uncommon age for such an incident in those parts.
It's nice to meet ya WVNan. :)

I thought there was another female gone missing in Jessica's maintenance squad. There is/was at least one other --a mother of two small children but I read somewhere on FR that there is also another besides her.
